WarZone / foxy grandmas
« on: November 26, 2007, 02:56:17 PM »
Three old mischievous Grandmas were sitting on a bench  outside a nursing  home.   About then an old Grandpa walked by, and one of the old  Grandma's yelled  out saying, "We bet we can tell exactly how old you are."

The old man said, "There ain't no way you can guess it,  you old fools."  One of the old Grandmas said, "Sure we can! Just drop your  pants and  under shorts and we can tell your exact age."

Embarrassed just a little, but anxious to prove they couldn't do it, he  dropped his drawers.

The Grandmas asked him to first turn around a couple of  times and to jump  up and down several times. Then they all piped up and  said, "You're 87  years old!"

Standing with his pants down around his ankles, the old gent asked,  "How in the world did you guess?" Slapping their knees and grinning from ear to ear, all three old ladies  happily yelled in unison-- "We were at your birthday party  yesterday!"

Gelcoat / Paint / Fireberglass Repair / spray bed linered my roof
« on: November 20, 2007, 04:48:01 PM »
i know there has been some talk about bed liner sprays in boats i figured i would try some out.........
so, i got this brand new 1993 chevy surburban, with cool white clearcoat  spots comming off on the roof . so i brought the pos into the shop since we were slow....my painter was happy  :'( (not) i repainted the hood and blended the fenders that part looks great.....and i was kicking around using this "spray bed liner" kit on the roof of my truck that my paint store rep told me about...so i ordered it  1 "bed kit" costs less than 150.00 comes in black and includes the gun to spray the material..........its called TINTABLE SHAKE AND SHOOT...you can brush it on or use a roller too....comes w/ 4 cans of sprayable resin and one can of catalyst....the resin can comes with enough room to add the catlyst, 3oz of the base if tinting it and the lid and shake to mix well, add paint nozzle and spray away........i tinted mine green like the truck i feel it came out good......you can reduce it 10 to 15% for a smoother texture............according to the directions " excellent adhesion to properly prepared automotive paint, bare metal, wood , fiberglass, and most plastic"
dry to the touch in 1 1/2 hrs and fully cured in 3 days cool little product.....

i wanted to do something different for my surburban this will deaded the sound and keep it cooler in the summer....after a week or so i will add the roof rack back on and it will be ready to use.....here are some pictures of the work.....

<----product

<----preped roof

<---- happy painter

<--- first coat

<----- all done

after it dries all the way ill give some more additional info on how it looks........
i do usually have some good information...not just messing around all the time.....thanks for reviewing

This is a toy drive and the magazine I shoot for ( www.gaugemagazine.com )(the so cal staff ) is hosting the event this year. This is something I have been involved in for the last six years and would like to express an open invitation to anybody who would like to come down and participate in the toy drive. This toy drive is for the Childrens Hospital of Orange County. They supply toys to patients for birthdays, holidays ,and going into and after surgery. :'( The event lasts for approx 3hours, not really a long time. We meet @ angels stadium from 10 to 12 and leave via caravan to the C.H.O.C. hospital, usually from 10 to 12 people park and hang around the parking lot checking out other rides And get group pictures taken with “santas little helpers”( usually cute girls wearing festive shirts) ;D and then 12 noon we start loading up and santa leads the way and we all caravan to the location, last year we had over 375 vehicles in attendance and we want to break last years record, so please participate if you can and PM me if you have any additional questions……..accepting NEW unwrapped toys only / no violent toys or candy please------------this is from another post with some info----- ;D ;D
