yeah brad that's the cases are one in the same that im thinking of. not to sound outa place or harsh, but, if the community is so tight, then why did one jet boater do this to another jet boater in the first place? and if the guys parts have been "recovered", then why haven't they been returned to the rightful owner? or have they and im just not seeing that..?

:screwy: :screwy: :screwy: yo, this shit is crazy!!! I've been part of scjb for only 5 days or so and I've already seen two cases of boat theft....not just taking the valve caps off the trailer tires but actually the entire freakin boat!!??

Is boat thievery really that big of an issue?? are people really that blunt and idiotic at the same time? craziest thing is, is that these people are actually getting away with it??

What steps can/ are being taken to prevent/deter/catch these a**holes? cctv/ tongue locks/ motion detectors/ etc..

I'm kind of hoping is whoever is found at fault for taking these parts/entire boats is put on blast so we all know who to stay away from and keep a look out for...

Wicked! Thanks for the info! I live up in Washington for the time being... I used to hit up the river when I was younger and lived in temple city ca. After school up here the wife and I are headed to az ( hopefully prescott area) and ive already talked her into a getting a float :) as for my wishes and what ive been studying from scjb : 75-77 sanger/rodgers bubble deck( beer bottle brown/yellow) looks awesome w/ a N/A BBC, ott headers and a Berkeley split bowl w/ a place diverter. That all bein said...what do you think id expect to pay for something in fair condition/turnkey?

...I know its the wrong discussion arena but I had to start somewhere haha

Thanks Bj :)

No, I didn't rhino...but...I also live in northwest Washington for the time being while I finish school for diesel tech. I lived in Temple City CA for 21 years and are finally looking to move back in the area. I've also been looking at local 428 out of phoenix because I have family in Prescott. My goal is to work on the equipment, both unions have mechanic apprenticeship programs. I wont be done with school till spring 2016...right around the time both #12 and #428 will be accepting apps again..  ;) However, I cant get a CDL so I'm wondering if Im just wasting my time with the union gig...I know I can still work for CAT, or Deere at a repair facility so I have other avenues if need be..

Keith, is it required for a person to posses or the ability to posses a cdl for this type of job? what if a person just wants to apply to the heavy equipment mechanic program?
