Put a breather on each valve cover and run it to a catch can not the air cleaner your motor needs to breathe more just my suggestion I had a similar problem

Pull the spark plug to insure piston is at top u can use a wire to check if u can't see down the spark plug hole

Make sure number one cylinder is at top dead center and pull the distributor and turn rotor to number one on cap and reinstall distributor its that easy
