It is definitely purdy...  Love that color combination.  Was going to say the same thing about that Hurst shifter and obviously it's over priced.

Steve's is much nicer.   ^-^

Now the only reason i can see why you would take the time to post this babble  is because you have nothing better to do and just want to start shit......

Well let me tell you something boatless , Forkedup and the people who built her are both a class act.....

Steve,

Touchy, touchy big guy...  I'm not trying to start shit, just joining in the conversation.  Who's really trying to start shit anyway?  You were the one talking about thinking flames were gay and you're surprised you don't see scallops on people's boats.  (Boost has scallops, by the way)

The comment I made about people "just hating" Forked Up was obviously sarcastic because it's a beautiful boat, but I never heard anyone bashing the fact that it had a flame job on it.

PS- I own two boats, thank you very much.  Just not a hot rod jet boat.

Since we're on the subject of posting babble and having nothing better to do and being boatless...  Have you got the Carribean wet yet?  Hmmm...  It's been weeks since you've had that "pig" almost complete.

I haven't wanted to do any 2Sav bashing lately because I felt I got off on the wrong foot with what I originally said and don't know you as a person.  All it was ever meant to be was some innocent fooling around, after all, everybody else was doing it.  But hey man, really...  I don't want there to be any bad blood between us, never meant to hurt your feelings.

Everybody's dissing these flames.  Even though they look a lot like "Forked Up" pattern of flames.  I'm sure everyone just hated that boat too.   :sly:

Hey Skip, I missed it... Where does the Carrera fall into that mix?  I really like that Carrera (except for the ammature interior).  The browns keep it away from looking like, as Brad would say, a bag of skittles.

I was wondering why after he rolled it and you were in the shot right afterwards, why you were already out of your orange drabs...  That explains it.  That also explains why he said, "I'm gonna go do it again."

Team Evo definitely had it coming to them.  Anxious to see the rest of the show and can't wait to know if the Dart was resurected or not.  Gnarly!

Looked awesome!  How many boats were there all together?  I can't wait to see the rest of the pics and here some more stories.  Looks like you guys practically had that part of the lake all to yourselves.

Seems like it huh?  I've never heard a damn thing about "Silverwing Boats" though.  Anybody ever heard of them?  It seems like the construction of the boat is pretty cheap, like for instance, check out that gauge cluster...  They did use a little bit of billet, but then skimped on things like the glove box, or the shifter lever.  If you're using billet hardware, shouldn't all the hardware be billet?

Boost had turned me on to this one a while back.  It's a repo'd boat so you won't know much history about it.  The guy's not advertising it on CL anymore but it's still up on his site.  He had it up on Inland Empire Craigslist about a month ago for $5,750.  Seemed like a pretty good deal to me.  But what do I know!?

Just saw the "Prison Brake" episode last night....  OUCH!!!    :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

It broke my heart to see that Dodge so banged up.  I sat there with my jaw on the ground for five minutes after that happened.  Can't wait for next week to see if you made it back into the competition or not...

This Spectra looks to be in much better condition for less than a third of the price...

That's funny in that other add how they say "high performance jet boat" and it doesn't even run...  No carb, one log, not even on the motor... ridiculous!   ::) :screwy:

Hey y'all... I'm still on the hunt for a boat and may be upping the ante a bit on the price range I was originally looking at spending.  Came across this boat and wanted to ask your honest oppinions on what you thought would be a fair asking price...

The original add reads as follows:

1983 Dana 22 FT OPEN BOW DAY CRUISER,I REBUILT THE BOAT FROM THE STRINGERS UP, ENLARGED THE SKI LOCKER FOR WAKE BOARD STORAGE, ALL NEW INTERIOR CUSTOM MADE, NEW GAUGES, NEW STEERING SYSTEM AND WHEEL, HYDRAULIC PLACE DIVERTER, THE JET PUMP WAS COMPLETELY REBUILT 5 HOURS AGO, NEW STEREO, ALL NEW WIRING, INTERIOR LIGHTS, NEW SWITCHES, ELECTRIC ENGINE HATCH, NEW BATTERY, NEW ENGINE, CUSTOM HEADRERS, THE TARILER HAS NEW BRAKES, TIRES AND BEARINGS. THE COVER IS CUSTOM MADE TO COVER THE TRAILER AND THE BOAT, IT HAS EXHAUST VENTS TO PREVENT MOSITURE BUILD UP. 2 BIMINI TOPS, REBUILT 468 BIG BLOCK CHEVY WITH, JE PISTONS, CRANE VALVE TRAIN, HOLLEY CARB, POLISHED INTAKE AND VALVE COVERS, POWDER COATED BRACKETS, NEW STARTER, 12 QUARTS OIL PAN, STAINLESS VALVES, MSD IGNITION CURVE TO MATCH THE CAM SHAFT. TWIN 35 GALLON GAS TANKS FOR A TOTAL OF 70 GALLONS SO YOU CAN RUN ALL WEEKEND NO PROBLEM. THE BOATS RUNS AWESOME AND CAN BE USED NOW ITS NEEDS NOTHING.

Honest opinions please.  I don't think the SCJB $50 is going to take this one...

Tylenol PM is also very heavy with acetamenophin (not sure on the spelling) which is very hard on your liver... ESPECIALLY when combined with alcohol...  Because alcohol is especially hard on your liver also.  If you drink alcohol on a regular basis, I highly suggest you stay away from the OTC sleep medications.  I suggest having the wife/girlfriend relieve your stresses, or if one of those two aren't available... rub one out on your own.  Suddenly you stop thinking about your headache and your completely relaxed enough to fall asleep.  Just my .02

The No Wake Zone / Journeyman Carpenter for hire
« on: March 04, 2009, 06:39:32 PM »
Hello all!  I'm moving to Orange County (Huntington Beach/Fountain Valley) in late May/early June and am currently looking for new work.  The job market is not very strong right now, especially in job classifieds for my career field so I figured I'd put the word out any way I know how.  The best references always come from word of mouth anyway.  The reason for my move is my mother recently passed away and my sixteen year old sister needs a good and responsible guardian.  It is important to me that she finishes the rest of her high school without transition so I will be moving there instead.  So... With that said...

I am a journeyman level residential carpenter, well versed in all aspects of home construction.  Been in the business since a young teenager, minus a four year stint with the US Air Force (I'm 30yo now).  I am motivated, hard working, independent, loyal, highly skilled with good communication and learning abilities.  My experience includes new custom home construction (first rate, up to 10,000sq ft projects), existing full home remodels and additions, to kitchen or bath remodels.  Mostly rough framing and finish carpentry, but also know foundations, plumbing, electrical and everything in between.  Also have done some very beautiful and extensive deck work, including pool decks and elevated, multiple level decks.

If anyone knows of a good General Contractor looking for a good employee, please keep me in mind.  I would also be interested in cash/side jobs if anyone wants to remodel their kitchens or bathrooms.  Or if you want doors or windows replaced.  Perhaps new trim or crown molding without having to hire an expensive contractor to get the job done.

Resume, references and photo portfolio available upon request.  Thank you for your time and consideration.
