I spoke to the lady who owns these and she mentioned and showed me the Coast Guard tag which stated that these are 4 seaters. Is is possible that these are aftermarked tanks? I have not been able to find anything on line offering aftermarket tanks. And since Polaris no longer makes PWC's, finding people who work on these or are knowledgeable is getting more difficult.

Let me explain. We have a neighbor who's husband died a few years ago. The boys and I help her out however we can so she doesnt get ripped off on things. She has a 2004 Polaris Genesis I 135 that has a cracked lid on the fuel tank where a couple of the hoses come into it. It looks like the outer ring is actually a seperate piece so I think I should be able to just find her the center section. On all the online parts houses I have found the fuel tank looks nothing like the one she has. A local independent repair shop says that they don't sell just that piece, that you must buy the whole tank and that it costs $400. I call BS! He just so happens to have a used one for $250. Does anyone have a Polaris connection to set me straight on this or confirm/deny what this local guy said. I have attached a pic of the top of her fuel tank.

Hopefully I can resolve this for her. She wants to take her kids out in 2 weeks. Thanks for the help guys.

Actually the white bilge was a twofold reason. First it matched the boat and looks clean. Second since we have never built an engine before we wanted to be able to see right away if anything was leaking. The white bilge will help.

We are looking forward to getting this thing wet as well. I can't wait to see the look on Bebo's face when we first light up the motor, and the day it finally gets wet. I'll bet he doesn't sleep the night before!

We have already come up with a name for the boat. Being as it is such a low dollar build and we have received so many parts from so many people; the boat has been dubbed "Bits and Pieces"

I have 6 Monster A/V cables with RCA ends. At least I think thats what the ends are called. Ends appear to be gold plated. The ends are color coded - 2 Red, 2 Blue and 2 Green. Each pair comes with a coupler to make it 32' long. $25 pair.

Thanks Ray. Its actually the product you guys sell. Its not too expensive, but I don't want to put any additional work on Bebo's plate to sand it off and re do it if it does not work. I think we will go for it.

So Bebo just sanded down and cleaned up the bilge area and gave it a couple of light coats of resin. It is looking really nice. We would like to use the garage floor 1 part epoxy. Is this stuff ok to use? Don't want to use it and ruin Bebo's work cause it is not compatible.

I just delivered all the cabinets except the unit w/ the countertop and the "L" shaped countertop. He said he may want those but will call me tonight. What was it you were interested in?

Update - We are doing well so far. He has called me a couple of times to say everything is cool. Right now he is BBQing. Damn, I should have gone too!

Brad you don't have to demand more respect. This is your site. You told him what you expected and he told you to pound sand. And in a thread for all to see, not a PM. That is waaay out of line.

I like the 30 day deal. Gives him time to think about it and if he does not come back it's on him.
