That boat was a little rougher than I expected. He did come down to 6500 bucks, but I decided to pull out on this one. Alot of rot: bulk heads, floor, seat frames, ect... had some funky repair done on the bottom just under the bow eye. He said the last owner used to beach the thing. Motor wasn't all that special. Alot of stress cracks throughout the whole thing. I know these boats are light and theres always going to be stress cracks but I dont feel like dumping 8-10grand in a boat just to get it where Id be happy with it. Id rather keep my $$$ and keep saving up for something I want.
This is just my opinion. This is the first CP I've looked at and so now I have something to go off of now.

UPDATE: Just got off the phone with the guy. He's going to email me some pics. I made an offer and he took it. So I hope he takes good pics because thats a long drive (26hrs one way) to go get a boat.

no, but I did talk to the guy though. He was pretty firm on his price and I didn't want to offend him with my offer so I kept my mouth shut and I'll just keep on puting money aside! If he still has it by the time Im ready...I would buy it!

Yo my name is Nate. I'm a recovering boat-aholic (sp?). I lurk here from time to time. Mainly to see what projects people are working on and to see what events are taking place. I am boatless at the moment. My plan is to save up some serious coin this year with the hopes of buying myself a real kick ass CP, TX-19, Gullwing hull for my Christmas present to myself. A few of you know me and a few of you know that I am recently seperated from my wife...so with that being said my next boat will hopefully be a good little ass kicker anywhere I take it! I will be looking for something like HotRods56, a project gull wing. I will never buy another boat already done and I will never own another turbo motor or any boost for that matter. Sticking to what I know...And I know I want to hit the triple digit mark next time out!

Just saw Unique on the key 3 news. Something about milking the customer for all there worth.. .I dont know the whole story but it looks like that shop pissed alot of people off. Now I see were all the money went...That flatty set up is pretty bad ass!
