No not yet Ray, but that will happen this weekend. Dumbass me tried to do it when it was hot and hissing. Well when you are sticking you fingers in and around HOT engine parts, dont feel to well and you can't really find squat. Noticed I said around engine parts ??? was trying to stave off the smartass remarks ;D

its what i do best! but its all in good fun!

did you ever find the coolant leak? probably something simple! also quit saying corvette when you go to get parts...start cross referencing stuff...you'll find alot of the chevy stuff used the same as vette! there was some trick stuff to the vette, but not all of it! my friend just bought one pretty cheap from the shop i used to part time at, and we did extensive work to it, and it wasnt astronomical amounts of money, and that was a 2001 Z51 package car
Ya thanks Josh, and I am starting to learn that, and the cross reference deal. Just some things that I am replacing definately are year and car specific

One thing I can say also is that I am replacing the rubber on the inside and out on the door windows, not too much of a problem, a hell of a lot of screws tho :screwy:, but I also need to replace the drivers side door handle, fruck what a pain in the ass, you would think I am taking half the car apart to do so :banghead:

Jet Pumps / Re: american turbine jet is growling?
« on: April 29, 2010, 08:09:10 AM »
I've said it before and I'll say it again, a pump can go to shit after a single outing.
Most of the time it is caused by picking up shit on the road to the lake.
(At least this is my personal belief)
Droop Snoots are notorious for not letting the pump load upon launching.
My personal practice when launching is to let the pump fill up with water and pull it out and let it drain, then repeat.
If there is loose debris, it is more than likely gonna come out.
Thats just me though.

Lower River / Re: KOA Blythe
« on: April 26, 2010, 07:59:43 AM »
Its a pretty nice place. Its gone through several different owners, but overall well maintained.  The cabanas (did) or have bunks, queen, and a hide a bed.  At one time they supply propane for the bbqs not sure if they still do or not. I was out there this past weekend, water was up on sat. If you go up river stay to the left past the bridge, nasty log and sand bar. hope this helps
  Cool Thanks
