Engine Mechanical / Electrical / Re: Firebird water
« on: January 29, 2016, 07:12:38 PM »

Being that the water is that way does it make the engine/boat run any different?

Boat runs high and dry, but we lose 2 to 3 tenths at that track. 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

From what I've been told firebird is worse than the salten sea and San Diego 👎🏻 but as a racer we can't really do anything but try to keep that crap out.

Engine Mechanical / Electrical / Firebird water
« on: January 29, 2016, 12:47:55 PM »
So I wanted to show some of you guys on here how nasty the water is at Wild Horse pass Motorsports park. AKA "firebird"
It eats aluminum and coats everything in a white film of salt. We run our boat at the river after every pass and put vinegar in our warm up buckets to try to nutralize the ph.
Any way. Enjoy the carnage.

Got a few shots from my dad this morning. Pump is in, and my peddles are done with the loud peddle stop almost done.
My steering wheel looks like something out of a fuel car. 😬😬😬😁😁😁
Mark from edelbroch got are data system to us as well. We're starting with just the pump pressure ports with the data, we will add to the system as the program grows.

You swapping the motor out of the orange boat or you got something special for this one

The 468 out of the orange boat for now. Eventually we will build a big motor for the Pro Eliminator class.Should run in the mid 8's with that set up. Shooting to license for Top Eliminator at the first Parker race.

I saw b1 post that they have the mold on ig. Didn't know it was the same one ralls had. Ralls laid up some beautiful stuff. The white one at tom Papp was supposedly #4 off his mold weighing in at 365.  Really curious to see what b1 wants for a hull.

What kind of mph does 10.0 class lay down
It depends on the boat. Anywhere from mid 90's to 105 in a jet boat. Flats and hydros a bit faster

Only 2 gauges going on the boat. 👍🏻 #dontneednotac
