Sad part of it all is ford helped push the bail out bill because it was afraid that if the others went under the suppliers would go elsewhere. They were more for it than chevy, although they didn't need it or take it they did take over 6 mil of gov money to retool for a hybrid line that failed and never paid it back. Years prior.
But bottom line I will own a dodge before I own a ford.........and let's not get started on how crappy dodge is

It's all preference and IMO the positives to a jet are, the simplicity, minimal things to maintain, nothing hangs below the hull and you don't have to worry about smacking anything, no exposed props or "spinning blades of death, obviously the roost is a big cool factor and most parts you'll need are relatively cheap and plentiful.
The positives to a v drive is fuel consumption, compared to a jet they are wayyyy better in that aspect, they actually have neutral when there running depending the gear box,if set up right they can be reliable, fast and not break the bank when you pull up to a gas station.
My preferences of the two would be a semi v low pro with a jet for interior room or a cruiser v drive because most of that junk is hidden in a sub floor. Semi v hull v drives lack interior room and cruiser jets tend to drink gas.

I like it, try to run it as low as possible. I saw a car that had the scoop plate sandwiched between the carbs and intake and the scoop was mounted so low it damn near covered the intake......looked wicked sweet

Stick it between the stringer and the pump if it fits if not put it on the outside of the stringer. You don't want to pay for 10-15 feet of battery cables let alone deal with routing them and tripping over them. Keep it simple
