what about our machinist friend ???
Last I knew he was going, I will check with him again tomorrow..
$$$$ permitting i should be there...still wondering who's couch im crashing on....boats coming with...anything i should know about boating laws in cali
Josh you are more than welcome to stay at my place... As for boating laws, ya just go by the rules at the lake you are on. At smellsomore, They have a speed limit around the outside, and a High speed in the middle. As for noise I dont think its going to be a problem, unless you launch at the North ramp, theres an old codger that won't let you launch if ya have OT's without mufflers :screwy:

Brad out of curiosity, have you thought of taking your boat to C & J Eng.  ??? ???  Those guys know their shit, anything I have taken to them has been drop in and haul ass, no fruckin around   I think Ralph has even dealt with them if I am not mistaken. Hell when I finished my engine I took a brand new dizzy in the box and a 650 DP holley, they dialed in the dizzy and converted the 650 to a 780. I dropped both in with NO adjustments and broke the motor in. To this day I have not touched either and my boat is running great. Just my .02 Brad not trying to be nosey or anything

The only experience I have seen with the box is a buddy of mine with an eliminator. We could not get that damn thing dialed in. Would run good then run like shit. He decided to take the carb to C&J Eng. and when he told them everything about his motor and ignition system, they told him to throw the pos box away. Problem solved and the boat runs awesome. Just my .02

another thing i was thinking about was buying a strong magnet like thing. Ya know the ones that they put on the sides of the car. Making one cut to fit the Intake on the jet that way it keeps rocks and junk out of the jet when traveling. Only down side would be forgetting about it. and launching with it on.
For me the first time I launch I back into the water pretty good and then pull out, kinda washing it out, and then backing it back in, then good to go

What I have used in the past was a helper and a pair of vise grips and some thin wire. One inside and one out. Feed the wire thru the seal and then pull together all around the windsheild.  Unless your are talking about the moulding tool, then I do have one of those
