The switch doesn't need to be grounded, unless lighted, Tracy. The lights have to be grounded to work, so the gounds are already connected to the lights. This is DC, all you are switching is the power feed line.
So you're three terminals should be, Power feed, I would assume to be the "R" terminal, "H" for half lighting, and "A/B" for all lighting.
Just an educated guess.........

« on: May 07, 2010, 06:22:15 PM »Were getting ready to put a blown injected motor in a jet and its going to run on E85. From what ive learned is that the fuel cant stay in the line for more than a few days and you have to use stainless tanks. I guess the E85 will corode aluminum. Matt
Yeah, that's why I'm kinda leaving my tanks alone for now. Got these stainless ones I got off Brad that will need extensive modifications to even fit in the gunnels, so PERFECT for cutting up with a million bungs...........That just sounds nasty.......

Politic for it, Jeff. I started thinking about this a few months ago, and there are no less than 6 stations in nearby Coolidge (About 1/5 the size of Casa Grande, WTF?), and kept buggin the local stations for it. They're all carrying it now, and it's selling better than gasoline, they tell me.
Only a matter of time before it's popular near the water. Someones gonna try and regulate emissions on these things sooner or later...

Good looking boat and welcome! Doesn't look like any Tahiti I have ever seen, but could be. Looks like a Baja to me. What's the HIN start with?
The info is correct on your JE pump, the pipe goes from the bowl through that hole to the right of where the pump is mounted, if you're looking at the transom from inside the boat. Since the bowl sits completely outside the boat, the pipe is visible from outside going through this hole in the transom. Should be a special seal and s/s ring with 3 bolts in it to seal the pipe to the transom in your goodie boxes. The pipe, every one I've seen on a JE, is bent and kinda looks like the pipe holding your shower head.
Get with Tom at JBP before you attempt to reinstall the pump. Them r a lil different.
Olds is a fine motor. Especially since you already got one and a spare! I can't make fun of 'em anymore anyway........
Good luck with it! Dunno what you got on the paint, maybe someone sprayed Gel?

But theres still the Daytona sitting in line back there. Maybe by then I'll win the Loto, buy some of the Kaase "Boss 9" heads and a blower for that one too.

No hanging your head tho, what you're undertaking here is article material. (Much like how I'm handling the twin jet deal). But you're all OVER that thing! I run a chebbie too, and it will be blown........soon..........VERY soon.....I'll stuff a Blower on a Ford at some point, probably. Just can't convince myself it's worth the expense on two of them in the same boat!
Kinda like Marc said, I'm probably gonna get 500 or so HP from each engine as they sit with all the new parts, Should be more than adequate on this particular boat.Funny you just got rid of a bunch of boats and now you got a lineup that kinda resembles mine, lol.

I'd love to! Really I would. Been fighting my inner self on this since this thing even came up. But this thing came with sooo much new stuff. Pistons, cams, intakes, carbs, ignitions, much more. All of it would go in the trash or on Craigs list, for one. Two BBF blower intakes alone would cost me well over 2k!!! Let alone the drive pulleys, idlers.....Would be cool as hell, I agree, but I gotta finance this thing!
Looks like you're in the right arena though!

Relays is the only way to do it right, and safely, considering, fuel pumps, etc, etc....Gonna have a bank of relays that resemble a missile launch facility I imagine.......

Nah, not this time, read above and you'll see I tried running it with the fuel fills wide open.............
Brad and Marc made a comment when I made passes by them Friday Night at Mead (Back in March) that I had a helluva miss. In the middle of carpet right now, next day off is Sunday, so we'll see. All the hoses, pickup tubes checked out fine. New coil, cap, rotor installed, taking a fresh 850 along and a brand new Holley Red Marine......Gawd I HATE electric fuel pumps....(Only meant for the 1/4 mile guys anyway)...Old mechanicals werked just fine for 70+ years, why reinvent the wheel?
If this don't work, ordering a Clay Smith mechanical and callin it done......New engine for this sled's gonna be a different story, but gotta get through the next month or so with it.......For it's future owners sake!
