I have been searching for a Spectra for a year now, This one is CLEAN wish I had the 10k  :-[ The thing that throws people off is the green on the trailer (which can be painted) Spectras came in Blue (tons of them) Brown (wouldnt be my first choice) Orange (pretty cool) and Green and Red (kinda rare) Cambell Carl on the boards had a Howard in the same color looks really cool in person. People are selling these things for 5-7k unrestored Chillers is turn-key fill up the tanks and enjoy the day. Like I said wish I had the 10k  :banghead:

I have been using Leverage waxes lately and I am so impressed I am going to start stocking it for sale. If anyone is interested I will have some at the NJBA Show @ Irvine Lake and selling it on my website www.socaldetail.com Give it a try, I know they have been using it on almost all the offshore racing boats. Gelcoat / Paint / Fireberglass Repair / Re: waxes polishes etc-

FYI...  best wax is Carnuba wax. It's what is in everyones product that wants to work. Period.
The best products in each brand's line use Carnauba wax. Carnauba is a natural wax from the leaves of the Carnauba Palm in northern Brazil. It has a natural ability to retain oil, will not react with paint, and has excellent gloss properties. In its original state, it's as hard as concrete, so it must be mixed with oils or chemicals to soften it. (Manufacturers use various softening methods.)
Carnauba wax produces a very hard film to protect the vehicle's surface. The amount of Carnauba in various brands of car waxes ranges from 3% to 70%, says. Note that a label that reads "100% Carnauba," such as Mother's Pure Carnauba Wax, means that the wax component is all Carnauba, without other kinds of wax. But there must be other materials in the mixture to make the Carnauba useable.
Now polishing is another level all in it's self!    good read at --->http://209.85.173.104/search?q=cache:dHn1rfMAz8oJ:www.cartest.ca/cleaning_polishing__waxing.htm+carnauba+wax&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=3&gl=ca

Thats all we use 100% carnauba. I have also been using Leverage which is pretty amazing it doesnt have any carnauba in it but leaves the boat slick water beads off and if you step on the deck you will end up on your ass.

Maybe there is a vaccum leak at the manifold or carb, that could be the lean issue. Also, if he gooped RTV around the water passages, debris could be clogging the colling.
I personally think he used the wrong gasket and is blocking the water inlet, I also think the carb needs to be re-jetted????

He seems to think it is running lean, its weird though cause one of the manifolds gasket is thicker then the other. I made an offer on the boat and he accepted, The trailer alone is worth the 5k. It is a triple axle ellis trailer fully boxed frenched led lights chrome fenders, thick bunks and full cat walk, I will post some pics after I go pick it up next weekend.

So I went to go look at it and it is really clean, but the guy switched the manifold and put a double pumper on there and is having overheating problems????? I think he put the manifold gasket on wrong? Any thoughts?

So why are people always so paranoid of putting there jets in saltwater? I think as long as you take care of it after there should be no problems.
