« on: June 24, 2015, 06:32:43 PM »If your going with eggbeater's I would call Dave at DCB & set up an appointment & have the boat checked out = motor's, control's ,transom strength etc etc / DCB should have a flat $rate$ for that= it will be worth it = every time I have dealt DCB they are very fair & professional / If you are going with an I/O I would call Greg at GS Marine in Norco & have the boat checked out . A Little $$ out of pocket now could save you a lot of $$$ later !!The issue with having Greg check out the I/O is that the boat is located in Havasu so unless I talk him into taking a road trip with me, that's not exactly ideal. Can anyone recommend a shop in Havasu I could take it to when I head out there to check it out?

The other boat I'm looking at is pretty much the same boat but with a 468 BBC/bravo 1 set up. What are the pros/cons of twin outboards compared to a single I/O?

X2 on the compression check.
You will also want to give the motors a wiggle. This should have solid motor mounts IMO.

Trailers / Re: new rims what size tires
« on: February 23, 2015, 11:28:00 PM »Be aware of the back spacing on these rims. I bought similar wheels for my 26 foot nordic trailer & found out the wheels rub on the trailer frame. Wasted time & money on my part.....Easy fix... I bought a set of 18" Momo's for my 1st boat trailer... Had to special order hubs in the correct bolt pattern and then had to use 2" wheel spacers so they wouldn't rub the frame rails... Ride like shit because of the low profile tire but damn did it look bitchin!!
