Give it a good blow job in every orfice with compressed air. take the top off carbs. check needle and seat for propper operation.

Pull spark plugs turn motor backwards thats how i got rope out of mine. threw inspection cover. good luck!!

W.T.F. looks like a stock oil pan 5 quarts should be fine. oil pressure 45 to 65 psi is normal. just remember with a stock olds dont go over 5000 rpm everywhere you go on the lake.

Been running castrol gtx 10-40 in the spring and 20-50 in the middle of summer. depends how cold the water is where u boat at.

Not a fast pump but a good reliable pump, easy maint a couple of grease zerks thats it. my 16 ft taps out at 60 mph with .016 clearence on impellar.

Check the back of tach to make sure it is set on 8 clyinders not 4 or 6 cylinders. if its not missing or anything the motor, could be that tach.
