Thanks for sending the old pic. I wanted to pay omage to the original with undated twists. Thats why we painted it with the original design. the new twist would be the LS6 motor, covered engine thru transom exhaust. Ill post more pics soon but it would be cool for you to see it complete again.

You did a great job. I always loved the scalloped paint scheme on it. Looking forward to seeing it.

Hey Brad, what places are around there to stay? Or, how far is the drive to Martinez (by car) if we were to stay in Blythe and just trailer down there for the day?

WOW!!!!! Im excited to see that someone saved this thing. I miss this boat all of the time. It was nice when i had it but then it got stolen and returned to me pretty stripped and beat up. It looks really good now. Hopefully i can see it in person some day !!   (p.s. this is how it looked before it was stolen)

We will be there. No jet boat though. Parker is much more enjoyable on a pontoon lol.

Shocker, your Dually looks great! I’ve always been a fan of those trucks. I think you went with a reasonable balance of tire size and drop. It’s a long truck and you’d definitely get hung up on stuff if you were any lower. I scraped quite a bit while my Silverado was at a 4/6 drop. Any plans to bag it in the future?
Thanks Jordan!!! As long as it's my only tow rig I wont go any lower because I do tow my toy hauler. And hear what your saying getting hung up being so long. I have to put about 50 psi in the rear bags to get in my driveway which is below street level lol. I'd love to bag it all around and have it sit on the frame though. someday.

Yeah they did. It rides better now than it did with the 2/4 drop that was on it when I got it. And thanks by the way.

I am also looking for a nice way to mount an American flag to the tow rope mount on mine as well.

A couple of guys on here have welded a pipe to their ski tow. Then slide the flag into the pipe and thread a set screw or maybe even a pin.

Check Cooper tires. They had a performance style tire in that 70 series Lt1 tires.

Praise the lowered.

Dan'l
Ok cool. Thank you. I pick it up today from the shop. I'll see the the stock size looks and fits (rubbing) and I'll also look into the Cooper tires. Thanks again.

Its has LTs on it now. But the smallest I can find in LTs is the stock size unless you want an all terrain tire. I think the 225/75 should fit ok though. I dont think they will rub. It gets dropped tomorrow. I'll keep the stock tires on it and if they dont rub, I'll replace them with the same.

We ran 60s when we bagged them back in the days.

Yeah I'm good with running a lower profile tire but in the winter time I do plan on towing my toyhauler so, I'm thinking I'd like to stay with the 222/75 but, not sure if they are going to rub. It's getting dropped on Wednesday (beltech 5/7 with a c notch)

My 86 has 225/70R16's on on Alcoas

5/7 drop, C notched, spindles, springs etc, and no clearance issues, definitely in the weeds.

Dan'l
Your 225/70R16s, are they LT tires or did you just get regular tires???

I had a 93. The drop was done before I purchased it. But bell tech still makes the 5/7 drop.

Sent from my iPhone using SoCal Jet Boats
Do you remember what size tires you were running? I need to go get tires but dont want them to be too big once I drop it. It's already dropped 2/4 a d seems like it has plenty of room. Right now is has LT225/75R16s

x2 as above kits aren’t that bad for those years but it’s 90’s technology.   Do some research and look for a full tubular upper and lower a-arm deal with coil over shocks in the front might be a lil bit o coin but prolly worth it. the front ends are so heavy when lowering them there isn’t much travel.
I've seen some very cool setups for the rear tube frame and coilovers but not the front, I'll have to look into that. Thanks.

I love that stance, good looking truck right there. I've found the kits for like $700, I can do the front spindles and coils, it's the cutting the frame and adding in the c notch that I'm a little iffy on doing myself. I know the bracket is a bolt in item but I'd like to have the frame boxed as well.
