Parts are back from being powder coated and things are coming together fast now. Painting the new trailer and dropping the engine in this weekend.

What brand of gel did you use? How hard to spray and any tips? Have a boat I hope to be starting soon and I have been reading till it hurts about gel and paint. Still undecided on which way I want to go.

We used Duratec gel coat. It's a ton of work but the nice thing about gel is you can really build it up. It's not terribly hard to spray but it's very thick.

It's gelcoat. Been a massive pain but it's coming together nicely.

I'm almost done with the gel on my boat and it's been a complete pain. Been working on it for months. Getting ready to spray the clear. I know the build is going to turn out nice but I wish I would have just sat back and found a hull I liked to drop power into.

Has some color in it now. Just needs some pin and I can start moving towards rigging. Also just picked up the interior from Martinez Marine.

Indeed!  I really like that color.  Makes me want to redo mine now.

Thanks, I'm really happy with how they turned out. Embee got them done quickly and it was only like $270 out the door.

You need a couple pics of me to post on CL. Lmfao. I had to use yours, I'm to fat to fit under my boat to take pics.

Sent by my fat fingers on little phone.

Hahahaha no worries. Mines finally right side up again too and ready for gel. I'll be spraying it Wednesday. I'm super excited to wrap it up since it's such a unique hull.

They're super tough to find used. I picked up a set from a guy on CL a few months back for $300 and had them coated at embee. Came out super bad ass.
