« on: January 19, 2016, 10:18:31 AM »What brand of gel did you use? How hard to spray and any tips? Have a boat I hope to be starting soon and I have been reading till it hurts about gel and paint. Still undecided on which way I want to go.
We used Duratec gel coat. It's a ton of work but the nice thing about gel is you can really build it up. It's not terribly hard to spray but it's very thick.

I'm almost done with the gel on my boat and it's been a complete pain. Been working on it for months. Getting ready to spray the clear. I know the build is going to turn out nice but I wish I would have just sat back and found a hull I liked to drop power into.

Hahahaha no worries. Mines finally right side up again too and ready for gel. I'll be spraying it Wednesday. I'm super excited to wrap it up since it's such a unique hull.
