I have had the plug on pump relief pop out on my Windsor motor. If I remember most 385 series oil pumps have a cotter pin that retains it, I just do not remember. Preoiling the motor will tell you a lot. If it started to get sluggish I personally would pull the filter and cut it open. You might even do a bearing check to be safe.

There are two different type of roll pins. There is the standard type and the type that looks like a carpet that is rolled up. Meaning multilayered this is the type msd distributor come with. The wear on your gear does look to be on the low side, I would take a flashlight and look at the camshaft gear itself just to be safe. I have seen thicker oils give the stand/regular roll pins a problem. Some guys used to drill a very small hole in the front oil plug directly behind the distributor gear. This would help with premature wear a .030/.040 hole is good.

Worked for a shop years back. We built a BBC for a jet boat. 1/4" arm in it cam out to a 505 cid. I do not remember the oil pan brand, I do remember the windage tray was a Incorporated type ( into the pan ). We had the same issue. We could run it on the trailer and drop oil pressure. After the motor in and out of the boat pulling bearing caps...changing pumps looking for cracks in the block.......we changed the windage tray. Went to a factory Chevy 5 bolt position 4 main 1 at the oil pump. It fixed the issue. The factory wrapped around the oil pump pick up much better than the pan type. The only thing we could think of is as you bring the rpm up the windage became very bad and would push oil away from the pick up. I can only tell you what fixed that problem. Good luck

Ohms is the measurement of resistance. You need to see which coil is compatible with your new module. As long as that is what is recommended by the manufacturer then you are good to go.

My brother in law has one. Built in 2005. It's a spectra/crusader. It was layed up for ski race. Extremely solid hull. Cuts through rough water with ease.
