It may be worth looking into. I have looked at a couple bare hulls before. If u have time to look you can sometimes find older family boats with merc engines and out drives for way cheap. Then swap that stuff and just junk the other hull. That's what I was gonna do

Those things are holding their value surprisingly well when they are complete. I would say 2,500-5,000 if the hull is in damn good shape. That being said offer the guy 1,500!! Gonna take a lot of cabbage to make it right again!💰💰💰

Thank you!! That was the kind of stuff I was looking for to get me going in the right direction! The boat is a heavy 20.5 day cruiser so I just want to make sure everything else is up to snuff before I do anything to the engine. It's just a 454 and I'm not sure what has been done to it? Runs great but yes I do feel like it's a dog out of the hole. Wasn't sure if that was just nature of the beast or I was missing somethings?? It has full droop and ride plate to.

So maybe I need to reword this here??..... Is the loader I have a decent one?? I have no idea what is a "good" one or not? The intake puzzles me because most of them I see pictured are flat without the "fins" sticking down... I plan on pulling the jet apart and checking bearings and such once the season is over. So I am trying to get input now so I can start doing my research. So any input or help would be awesome! Thanks in advance

So I'm pretty much a rookie at this stuff! But been doing a lot of reading here and elsewhere!! Gonna post a couple pics of my loader and impeller. Tell me what u think. I'm not gonna tear down until this winter but want to know what to plan for? Definitely an inducer. But not sure about the loader and intake??
