These were taken at some nostalgia v-drive event I went to on the Ohio in Wheeling, WV.  I was there beginning to mid September last year.

Had you brought this up a week ago, it would have been salt in a wound.  It had been sunny for two weeks and close to eighty degrees.  I finally mustered up the energy to get the boat ready and went out for the first time on Sunday.  See the link below...

...Thank goodness I did because by Sunday night was the start of another storm system that's still passing through.  I've definitely found myself spending much more time on the boards lately and noticed other people have been too.

The boating bug has bit again! 

The pictures with the coats on were taken no earlier than 6pm.  By then the temperatures had dropped and wind had picked up.

So...  We had our first trip out on Sunday.      

Weather was mid to high seventies.  Hardly any boats on the water.  After a little timing issue got sorted out, we ran the Mellow Yellow hard for about three hours.  Made a couple stops at the watering holes and raced the wind back to the marina...  We won!

I still have a shyt eating grin on my face from knowing it's the start of another great boating season.  Hope to meet some SCJB'rs this year, unlike last.

Looks to me like whoever it was, their plan was to mount an egg beater on the back of it (an outboard).  In that case, you might have to pay someone to take it away. 

Curious to see what the outcome of this thread is.  I've been having the same problem with the deck in my boat and I'm not even running a sub/amp.  Only two 6x9's and two 5 1/4's.  The problem started after adding on the two 5 1/4's.

Is this a rental property?  If so and you would like to R square the door, it will involve some stucco repair to properly waterproof and flash it.  

Reinforcing the jam with some longer screws is not a bad idea (I actually do this on all doors I install) but make sure you put them where the jam is already shimmed between it and the studs or it can throw it all out of whack.  You could also use longer screws for half the hinge screws too and then they'll be into the studs as well. Sheetrock screws don't have very good sheer value, I would rather use like a #8 or 10 gold screw.

How about some sliding latches on the inside of the door, top and bottom that go into the door jam, but sleeved into the studs so you aren't relying on the strength of the MDF door jamb. They could even then be padlocked.  Following me there?

Of course some better door hardware like Josh's deadbolt idea and definitely the NRP hinges.

Glen should obviously be on the panel of judges...    He's got too many tricks up his sleeve for this contest...
