Nice man. I saw that one awhile ago on cl. Looked like it had a worn out motor and i dont even know if it had seats in it when i saw it. What you gonna put in this one

I wanted it last time because it had a good pump with a diverter but the guy took it off. Yea, it had 355 olds and I told him he could keep it. Lol I'm not sure yet, either another big block Chevy or maybe an LS motor.

I didn't do anything to my Kachina today (even though I desperately need to). instead! I went and picked this bad dude up! 74' Nordic! It's just a bare hull but it looks super solid and can't wait to get started on her!

I'd start with the carb. That's a small hat for such a big motor. If that small of a carb wasn't working perfect on that big a motor, you would definitely tell.

Gelcoat / Paint / Fireberglass Repair / Brush on gel coat??
« on: May 14, 2017, 01:54:11 AM »
Hello all, I just ordered a couple cans of white gel coat with wax to redo the bilge/back end of my kachina. I think I have pretty good idea on what prep work needs to be done but I'm not sure on the best way to apply it. I was hoping to go the cheap route and just brush it on and sand afterwards. Has anyone tried this and how did or turn out?? Or is spraying it on the only way and what kind of thinners or gun would I need?? Thanks for any input!

Think its just from the heat man. Were yours water injected or dry? I dont remember

They're injected. But they are real leaky and I think my my engine was running way hot. Hence the piston breaking...
