Thanks bro! Gonna be safe. Got it set up on the safe side right now. The pictures really make it look nice. Get close and she's got flaws but I love it!

Or are you going from the gauge to the terminal block to the sending unit?

From the gauge to the terminal block. Terminal block to battery. Half of the terminal block is 12 volt and half is ground. I think this what your talking about.

Getting wet tomorrow for the first time. Been over 10 years since the boat has seen water. Everything has been rebuilt or replaced. Turned out pretty good. Color sanded and polished the paint to the best of my ability. One day it'll get paint and all of my homemade brackets will get refined and powder coating. And a new rail kit.

The best bro! I grew up doing the same thing with my Dad and uncles. Now I get to do it with my girls. My wife says no boys stand a chance cause they gotta stack up against they're Dad! You guys go to Parker or lower river?

Replaced the header water valve. Fixed diverter, it had a quick disconnect barrel nut type set up that had broke off so, drilled it, tapped it and installed a heim. Did a quick oil change and then started doing some polishing.
Great job man!

I thought this one was really cool of Tom and Bob going at it (of course I didn't take the picture but I thought it was cool). I think it was posted on Hot Boat back in the day.

I found a couple pictures from the shoot but none of the Southwind 19' (I will keep looking and if I find them I will post them) just of my Southwind 18'. Another funny story is that a friend of mine drove up to the shoot from San Diego to come hang-out with me and he ended up knowing the model. My buddy brought up a 12 pack with him and she hung out with us the entire time and pretty much drank most of the beers in between shoots. lol

They had another Asian chick there too, she was supposedly Bret's assistant. Since only one of the models showed the assistant did some of the modeling shoots as well. If the date on these pictures is correct then the next weekend or two was the Classic Boat Beach Bash. So Bret is out at the Classic Boat Beach Bash there taking pictures of the boats on the beach and I guess he remembered me from the shoot and told me to come look at the pictures on his camera. He holds up his camera and there's a video of the Asian chick all naked and he is rubbing her ass. lol The good old days.
Hell yeah. Nice boat buddy!

I’m not the one who left it out. Some friends of mine did. No doubt I think I scored as did the boat!

Man, I haven't seen that boat in a long time. Funny little story...

There was a call-out for a magazine shoot they were going to do at Elsinore via Hot Boat. A guy that was on Hotboat.com was coordinating everything and he sent me a PM to come join the shoot. I told him my boat wasn't show quality but I was getting ready to do the rebuild soon. He told me to bring it down anyways they were short on jet boats. So I show up early and see Tom pulling out the freshly built Southwind TD 19. I am like damn that's clean so I went to check it out and told Tom to stay for the magazine shoot. He was there just to test the boat.

I have the magazine somewhere, I think Tom's Southwind and my Southwind (yellow 18') made it in the magazine in the same month. A couple days later a friend of mine calls me and said hey did you and your girlfriend break-up I said no why. I saw your boat in Hotboat and some blonde is in it with you. I laughed and said that was the model you dummy. I will put up some photo's of the shoot if I can find them. I think I have a picture of the 19' at the Classic Boat Beach Bash too, Futs took me for a ride. Always, liked that boat.
That is an awesome story! I would appreciate seeing the pictures. Been  trying to bring it back for almost 3 years. It's not as pretty as it once was... should be just a little bit quicker though.

I have 8 inch by 48 inch saddle tanks...nice aluminum fuel fillers...all brackets. I'm looking to trade for a center mount stack tank (2 cells stacked) with brackets. I also have a smaller center mount drag tank, with an enderle 80a fuel pump, cam driven with brackets.
