I wouldn't worry about it. Use standard wire and you'll be safe. A cheap alternative if you really want the "marine" type wire without paying an arm and leg is low voltage wire you can get at Home Deport for patio lights. It's usually 14gauge. Toss some heat shrink on the ends and you should be good to go!

Install heat exchange to keep salt out of the motor.
Use SALT AWAY after each outing.
Before you launch, WD40 fogged all over the trailer and any metal (including engine, wheels, hull fittings, exhaust, etc) will to wonders to help keep it protected from salt water.
rinse, rinse, rinse.

When doing small accent pieces - hitting it with a quick flame does wonders or heat gun. I wasn't thinking of laying up an entire boat - that could get sketchy

Apply poly over the area you want to lay CF and let it tack up. Drop CF over your resign to allow it to adhere to the surface and roll flat - CF doesn't curve easily so watch the edges. Flood a coat of Poly over it. "Surfboard" Resin is great - won't yellow w/UV. Hit any bubbles with a little butane torch or heat gun. Let Dry and reapply resin. It would look bitchen!

The house is an old historic house, wood & plaster, real 2x4's (you know the ones that actually are 2" x 4"). Just east of downtown - so it's not as extreme as El Cajon.

too much gas and/or too much steering input. Keep it centered and give slight tap on the gas at 3 or 9 o'clock. Anything else and you may be asking for a problem.

Any recommendations for equipment/size? It doesn't get too hot or cold here, but enough to warrant looking into this. Rough estimates on cost?

I'd like to put it out there if anyone on the boards does this (or knows someone) that does it for a living. I figure I'd get treated better here than looking in the yellow pages. I have an old house built in the 30's that has heat and air from the 30's (or lack thereof). Plenty of room in the attic or below the house for ducting. I have a newborn and we'll be spending more time at home.

pep boys has these cheap covers for <$100. They are the blue ones. These work great. They do breath a and are damn near waterproof. For a c-note it would be hard to beat, IMO.
