Finaly had some time off from work and was able to get a little more done. After I replaced the transom there was a few voids  because I installed the pensky board in two pieces and wasn't cut precise measurements ( 1/4" gaps here and there) so filled the areas with some Sea going poxy I just happen to have laying around.

After that set I sanded down smooth then layed one layer of 2oz cloth! Next step will be to get the boat on a three point stand and replace the stringers.
Seeing how I used pensky board that will never rott vs plywood I was thinking one layer of 2oz cloth on the inside should be fine...any thoughts on that ?
I talked to Tom at JBP the other day regarding parts needed for my WJ pump and sent him pics as well to help me figure what was needed to put it all back together, seems to be a good guy and very willing to help Thanks Tom

Nordie, thanks I'll check out the petonix, budgets a little tight but im willing to splurge a liitle for quality, like they say you get what you pay for.

Pretty much spent the last 7 hrs sanding with the DA using 120 grit to get down to the original gel coat. I still have a few areas in tight places that need sanded but it's  30 and im whooped.

Can I use heavy duty sea going epoxy on the outside of the hull to fill in some small holes and low areas,Kind of like if you where using it as a body filler before priming and paint.

a little up date..been sanding away and added a few chinny things to the motor  waiting on my new polished intake to come in. I'll post some pics of the boat later. I was thinking of clear coat the aluminum on the motor  Does anyone have an opinion on the clear coating ? does it work ?

I want to epoxy some small voids inside around the transom peice and the hull before I glass it in, so I went ahead and glassed in the old TT exhaust holes and misc holes for know.

Can someone answer a question. My buddy suggest when I glass the transon closed inside to first use the 2oz cloth, then woven roven, then another layer of 2oz cloth or is that over kill 

Looks ggod Sam! also looks like we got the same work going on. BTW ths cresent shaped blade I bought later and does work better for the long cuts

I sent some pics to your email, if you have trouble finding the gasket for the plate to the header let me know and I'll get the Mr Gasket number for you, might take a week or so though.

Thanks Greg, I just looked at your pics. Nice boat   Looks similar to my Kona. I think I'll move forward and get the headers. Its a good deal the guys making me. What kind of pump you running ?

The way he explained it to me was the back of the Motor on a jet drops down verses a V drive is up which would place the headers close to my transom or something like that 

Got the intake out today, wasn't as bad as I thought it would be but did take some time. Also got the fuel tanks out. Time to start grinding.
