From the sounds of it, I would start with the pump.

It should be broken down into "classes" of boats...ex...daycruisers, 18ft, 19ft, tunnells, etc.....

For daycruisers mine was at 62 on gps before the engine work....

Engine Mechanical / Electrical / Heads
« on: May 08, 2009, 01:50:38 PM »
I saw something earlier today on heads and it got me thinking.  What is the difference between all of the cast iron ford heads?  I looked for a website to explain all of this but had no luck.  Maybe you guys know if there is one or have any info.

Thanks

Ryan

Was that directed at you or did you just find that?  Either way, its pretty damn funny!

34
It's a play on words. The cam's got right about 3/4 of an inch of lift

OOOOHHH!  I gotcha!

35
So technically that really is considered a "3/4" race cam  ;D

Im not trying to be an ass or anything but what makes it a 3/4 race cam and what would need to be different to be a full race cam?

Engine Mechanical / Electrical / Re: SUNKEN BOAT HELP!!!!
« on: May 06, 2009, 01:02:51 PM »
Hey Cadillac - I feel for you bud. I'd like to chime in on a related matter if you don't mind. Life has just thrown you the obvious curveball which is the sunk boat. But is also threw you a rare opportunity to strengthen or weaken the relationship with the GF. I never recognized them at the actual time they occurred, but looking back I could always say "yeah that was the day our love for one another took a turn for the ------ (whatever)."

In the middle of all the energy you have to throw at recovering the boat, take a minute to decide what and how you want to do with the unexpected relationship energy this has created. If you have strong positive feelings for her, then let her know that you forgive her and will eventually move past it. This is a kind of gift you can give her that will pay off huge later on. Or, if you really don't care that much for her then you can harness this event to clarify what is or isn't working right. Either way, I'm just saying you should harness it as long as it happened.

Sorry for maybe putting myself into something I shouldn't. Good luck with the recovery!

You could always just show her where the wrenches are and help her out with the carnage she had a hand in!  ;D  (Hopefully you wont be sleeping on the couch afterwards)

Its at the veterans memorial park.  Find that and pull into the cove inlet to the north and you will run right into it.

Yeah the 4 wheel drive works great.  Pulled out my 78 bronco from some soft sand.  I have ridden in this truck and it runs very well.

everytime i have done this, it has burned me.

I dont doubt you on that.

JR is like a jellyfish; he's slimy, spineless and if you hang around him long enough, you're going to get burned.
I've got bigger things to worry about than the technicalities of what really happened.
His checkered past keeps me from getting into any kind of banter about Jim on the internet anymore.
My stance is, some people love him , and some people hate him yet nobody knows what really happened nor are they his banker or his personal assistant.
Kind of like when someone has a bad experience with a part or a vendor and they go on online and talk about how big a POS it is.
"Technically" it's the same thing and those people are all entitled to there opinions.
There is a really big picture out there and nobody can see it with our heads crammed up our asses.
