I think I paid around 600 they are not quick about it either, so of you need them quickly I would not use them. They did a great job though.

I was out there this past weekend as well, water is very high. Too bad though some big boats made there way up the river, I prefer it low when the prop guys start getting all scared and stay the hell of the river. ;)

Same here boat is stored out at the river in an enclosed unit with electricity so I keep tenders on the batteries and the boat is always ready to go. But i store mine in needles. I pay 145 a month and it worth it boat sat out there all winter I went out there a couple weeks ago opened the unit took the cover off the boat and she looked just as pretty as the day I parked her ;D

Once I I got up there I could hug the shore and my ass off til we broke a stringer coming back wasn't a fun ride back but made it.
Jetinator, was that comment part of your original post?  Broken stringer BUT MADE HUH!  I love my Hallett and that is exactly why I have not boated on Havasu since the late 80s.  White caps are not fun. >:D

Ok if you guys say so there is the Lucas drag boat races in havasu that same weekend and I'm sure there boats don't handle chop very well.

My jet is 19 foot and I take it to Havasu all year long but mine does have more free board than some members boats.

Thanks for reminding me my motor is still in pieces in the garage. The end of last season spun a rod bearing had parts machined and upgraded the heads and rods. Need to put it back together and put it back in the rail, maybe once boating season is done.

Thanks for the responses, a quick question the boat has a Mallory marine distributor with magnetic pickup and msd blaster coil and whoever put them on left the resistor wired in(assuming from when it probably had points?) Could this be the cause and also is the needed with this ignition set up or should I remove the resistor? Thanks

Engine Mechanical / Electrical / Engine cutting out.
« on: July 01, 2013, 05:43:34 PM »
I'm in havasu right now and this morning leave the marina and plan to head down to steamboat cove. Boat was running good until we got a bit passed copper canyon the boat started cutting out. When I say cutting out it felt as if you turned the ignition off for a split second than turned it back on. I looked at the gauges when it was cutting off and all the gauges would dip towards zero but would come back on before that point. I turned around and made it back to the channel and figured a loose wire some where, I checked all wiring and grounds in the engine compartment everything was tight. So I pull the ignition out and check the wires behind the ignition and they were all tight as well. So head back down to try it out again for further diagnoses and made it back down to copper canyon and it hadn't cut out once. So any ideas? I'm wondering if the ignition maybe has an internal short or if there was a bad connection and me poking and prodding around fixed it. Anyone ever had the same issue?

I've ran it in cars that I've raced but not in my boat cause I dont race it. I have ran 250 shot on stock bottom end 5.0 stang and never had an issue other than burning a head gasket once.
