Jet Pumps / Re: Place diverted cable
« on: February 04, 2015, 08:46:14 PM »

Yes it is a place diverted floor mount handle with cable. I'll take some picture of it tomorrow. Brand new the whole set up is $360 plus tax. Shoot me an offer of your interested. I just have them sitting in the cabinet in my garage and don't need them. They are used but worked perfectly when I removed them last season.

I just need the handle, I'm willing to offer $100 plus shipping.

Chad, I picked up the same exact boat you are working on, but mine is a '76.
Also, olds/berkeley combo.

If you want that diverter you were taking about... I have one for you off this boat.

I have a handle and cable that I replaced and made Hydraulic. Came off of my american turbine pump but it is a floor mount handle. I can sell it to you if you still need it!

How much you asking for the handle?

I should have been more specific. What I'm referring to is the rectangular tab with the small hole in it that is welded on one side.

That rectangular strip is where the ground wire is connected to so that's your fuel level sender is grounded.

This is an American Turbine energized jacuzzi YJ pump with a manual diverter.

Pump is in excellent shape, has been correctly converted to the AT bowl with epoxy blending for smoothed water flow and better efficiency.
Pump has very low hours, impeller is in good shape with no nicks or damage.

Pump was cut out of a boat that was parted out. What you see is what you will get, along with a very nice floor control handle and cable.

Has a 0-8 degree adjustable wedge.

I'm asking $1275 OBO for everything as shown.

I am in CA, 91342.  Local pick-up strongly encouraged.

I've been checking out various interior options for these boats and one thing struck me... It seems like all the pics Ive seen the floor is flat.  On my boat the floor is V-shaped (see pic above).  I feel kind of dumb asking this but...

Am I supposed to have a 2nd floor in there that may have been previously removed?

I'm thinking yes but I can see where seats were mounted to the existing floor.  I suppose someone could have ripped the sub floor out and glassed seats into the hull.  This boat is 37 years old, anything is possible.

Can anyone shed some light into how this is "supposed" to be set up?  Any info appreciated!

By the looks of that pic up there, there is a sub floor in the boat. If you look in the bilge area you will see that there is an upside down triangle towards the front. The top portion forward is the sub floor.
If the boat sank, I'd check what you have going on with the wood there as well as the cavity under.

Once you figure out how you want the interior layed out, you can plan on how to make pedestals/seat mounts.

Very well built boats!
Dunno if you knew, I'm finishing a Spectra right now.

Hopefully someone already changed the fiberglass tanks, if not, that will be a must!

Good news, no wood in the transom, less area for rot.

I texted you... You still have the same #?

Hit a wave the wrong way?  How fast were they going backward to drown the exhaust and hydrolic the motor.

The damage shown would never happen with water entering the cylinders!
It is also called hydro LOCK - not hydraulic!!!

Jim, looking for the one that has threaded holes for water feed on each end.   79 ranger jet, do you have a pic?

I got two variations... 45 each. One is smooth finish, the other is finned.

Contact me if you are interested.

That paint will wash right off with the slightest amount of fuel drips or spills...
Ask me how I know 😎

You will see what I mean when you go to adjust float levels.

Lol I've got 1500 on it!

That's a solid offer! More than what I'd pay for it... If he doesn't sell it for 1500 now he'll sell it for 1k when he gets desperate and serious.

If you get the boat Drew, I got everything to put it together nicely... Id give to you for a little bit of nothing 👍
