GPS'd the boat yesterday. Had 2 chairs under bow along with tube and rope. Pass tank full, driver tank about 1/2 full. Myself about 280, and my son about 160. Going down river top speed was 54. I have no idea what RPM as the tach is still not working.

Heading off to Texas (Ft. Worth) tonight. My aunt passed away from breast cancer yesterday. 
Driving out with my Dad and Step Mom tonight, my wife flies out Friday and will drive back with us. Going to be a long trip, but it will be cool to hang with my Dad and Mom again.

I have 7" polisher. It works pretty good on cutting. Swirls are deep but luckily only on dark blue. Stripes are ok. Was mostly needing to sand out swirling.

I got severely oxidized gelcoat and when I used pressure washer to strip old clear coat off, it made swirl marks in gel. I'm planning to sand it down and buff it out. I was thinking of starting with 320 and working up to 1200 or so. My question is can I get away with using a orbital palm sander? Or should I break down and buy a random orbit sander? I'd prefer to use a DA, but my compressor just won't run one for any length of time. They are air hogs!!!

I'm planning to build complete 2nd engine so I always have a spare ready. I want to build a stroker but I know it might take a while financially. I went 3 summers without a boat. Not going through that again lol.
