I also would like some hats. I've asked where I could get some hats a while back and the answer I received was basically that there are no hats to give out. I think I remember being told skip was the guy who made the first batch of hats. But those are long gone by now. I know times are tough right now for everybody, myself included. But I think if we get enough people that want hats we could maybe get a pool of money together to make a certain amount of hats. I have no clue what it costs to have hats made or if skip or somebody still has a guy to make them. Hell I don't know.......I'm just thinking out loud.   :screwy:

well if it were me i would put it on the transom. you said before about maybe putting it under you seat....thats a long way to push all that fluid to the hydraulic ram and back. and would be alot of line to mess with and worry about anyone stepping on it or kinking it or anything. would be alot cleaner looking on the transom. IMO

i have mine mounted on the transom. i think thats where 99% of people put it. ive never heard of one falling off from rough conditions but im sure it has happened. you get the black plastic tubing or the braided stainless lines?

lol i just went and found a dumpster today to dump my big trashcan and the trashbags i filled. i couldnt wait til tuesday. seems like it takes up about ten times more space than its original size when in the boat. lol. "expanding foam" haha go figure.

ya a sawzall would be great with like a 10 inch blade, i didnt even think of that. and yeah it was hot under the bow. was sweating my a$$ off. and i hear ya on making the hole bigger. its bigger than it looks in the pictures. optical illusion i guess. maybe cut the hole a bit wider....to like stringer width. i dunno. i stil have alot of work to do to it thats for sure.

it is actually pretty tough stuff. soft enough to shove that drywall saw through but it was a pain in the a$$. getting easier though. alot of it breaks clean off of the glass so i think i will only have minimal scraping to do once all the big stuff is out. (probably just jinxed myself). gonna save the shop vac til the end for the clean up. and your right i think luck was all it was.

haha way relieved that it only was about 30 inches thick and not all the way up to the tip of the bow. lol another boat? the tunnel eh? sure thing....by the time im done scrapin all this shit out of my boat ill be a pro. haha
