Bump, some one come get this thing. Mothers day and my wife's birthday last week beat up my wallet and left it for dead. I need to buy parts for my truck and don't want to start pulling from my savings.

Left over checker plate, 4foot by 4 foot square piece and a 2foot x 2 foot. Makes awesome trailer steps. 40 bucks take both pieces. Larger has a small scratch which is circled. Either way it probably buff out.

The No Wake Zone / Re: What did you do to your boat today?
« on: May 12, 2014, 06:48:07 AM »

you know Joe I'm actually glad that we have this forum and we are all respectful enough to share our own opinions and in actuality I learned something I didn't even take into account... the angle of the dangle of the motor nor did I realize that you could turn the intake around 180 degrees. So I just wanted to say thank you for educating me and its duly noted for when I build my first jet boat. I can totally relate to the angle and how it will affect the floats because Im used to doing rock crawling and so forth.. So all in the end I hope nate gets his setup done correctly and had a blast on his boat... Its fun learning from you guys so once again thank you! :-)

Jet Pumps / Any tips
« on: May 06, 2014, 12:18:59 PM »
For anyone that might care, plastic door shims from home depot or lowes. Use a thin putty knife like Glenn mentioned to get a spot on cover freed up and then knock a shim in a little and then do the same to either side once you have 2 on the top and sides just work around taping one at a time and it's off in no more than 10 mins

Hulls / "Porpoise Fix" ?? LOL!
« on: May 06, 2014, 11:15:56 AM »
Would be real funny if someone gave him this advice as a joke. My dad once told a guy that rorating the air in his tires would help his car issues he was having. Guy came back the next day and said the car was still having issues after rotating his air

I don't find anything funny about giving a guy "advice" that would screw his stuff up. Telling someone to rotate their air, find their flicker fluid container or their muffler bearing is funny harmless fun to those that know the jokes but telling someone to intentionally drill through the bottom of there boat for something that will cause problems is not funny at all and shows a persons real character.

We all joke but to really do something like that is crap.

But IMO I think whats really going on with that red boat is it has the tank straps are mounted through hull which some boats were from the factory and someone throughout time thought putting that block there would help secure them better. Just a guess but id like to think someone wouldn't screw someone like that

Wheres your sense of living on the edge? Run that shit straight into the block ....no gate....no regulator.  :screwy:

though its not the way i suggest anyone doing it, but its how the ultra is set up. During my slam session to get it back together, i just thought "well, its worked this long"....shrugged my shoulders and carried on.

Brad, the kona I just sold I ran all season like that. I did have a relief valve and gate valve set up and everything to put it on my boat ( I have it all for sale in another thread as proof lol) but I never got around to it. I just kept a pair of needle nose vice grips next to the diverter control just incase a hose popped. Never has a issue.

WarZone / Re: Who used to roll in a truck club
« on: May 06, 2014, 03:37:34 AM »
I'll probably never own another diesel unless I need it. I had a 99 F250 with the 7.3 and it was alright, the only good thing about the truck was is was a short bed extended cab so it was small and light an I was getting 26mpg with tony wildman tunes but other than that it sucked owning a diesel. Couldn't Cary in a conversation in the truck... At all, $350 oil changes, $300 a year to register it, every time I went to the gas station all the diesel pumps were blocked by mini vans (no joke it never failed) and then when the smog law passed for diesels it completely killed it. All because everyone thought it was cool to rial coal and black out freeways, city streets and people walking. It's only a matter of time before we start seeing JDM and drift stickers plastered on diesel trucks blaring techno music because every diesel truck owner is turning into a teenaged kid in a sh!t box Honda.
