  Ok,...after some research: Silicone has a higher temp rating than the EDPM standard such as Trident / Gates or Shields standard wet exhaust tubing.... Corrugated/wire/ no wire/ soft-wall.
Average for EDPM 250 to 275 degrees.  Silicone: up to 350 degrees.

Silicone is MUCH more expensive....

A different way as previously mentioned on this thread: From snail to silicone coupler to SS tube to silicone coupler to thru hull is workable, but I personally don't like the idea of multiple connections/clamps....  So I am going with either a Shields or Gates soft wall EDMP and double T style clamps on both sides.

Now I just gotta find a place to buy a 3' stick if the stuff ...... Me living 300 miles from the ocean or any real boating centers means more 'net time .....

The exhaust hoses from snail to thru-hull on my float are old and a real pain to remove and re-install..... Yesterday one started leaking..tried to stop it by swapping ends .... Spinning it etc .. But the rubber is so hard  (and even with the wider T style clamp)  I cannot get it to stop..... That would NOT be cool for it to come apart out on the lake.

I guess I should have replaced them when I had everything apart but...... 

Sigh...

  How about some opinions ( I KNOW there's a couple out there ) on what is a good hose to use.  I have looked online and there are a lot of different kinds, wire type... non wire....including pure silicone.  The silicone are pricy, do they last?  I see them used in automobile Turbo set ups... They are heat resistant, but how about in the long haul??? Do they stand up? To Oil gas etc???

Bay Springs this afternoon....we found a great grass beach to picnic at. We had the lake to ourselves.... It was overcast this AM , but we got some sun after lunch.
.... Kids got some good tube time in and the GF and I did some relaxing as well.

The Diverter made a big difference and I'm pleased at the performance. No more 'bow to the sky' routine when coming off the line.... Planes much faster and the kids like the 'roost'  ( just 3' or so.....)

Had a couple minor issues..... A leaky hose off the snail ( old hard hose )

And couple small oil leaks off the valve covers..... Otherwise it ran good. 
I'm going back out tomorrow!!!!

My trailer came off on the 95 leaving Martinez a few years back. Boat hit bumper then passed me up and stopped on shoulder. Boat was okay and never trust a friend hooking up the trailer...which he still denies to this day. Nice float

When I hook up.  I drive ten feet ....stop.   Check it again.......and I STILL worry.

I think it was because I saw a very nice Cole come unhitched on hwy 62 almost to Earp and go out into the desert...it came off the trailer.... It stayed upright, but it was a v-drive and a mess.
