Thats looks like a Golden Eagle version of the YJ.  Not sure if the Energizer stuff will switch over to a standard YJ, Tom at JBP would know.

Hey Proppy my Sanger has a wood reinforcement where my bow eye goes through.. looks factory to me?

 Yea, your right about the wood reinforcement inside the hull my Brendella has that too, but you wouldnt see it sticking out flush with the outside of the hull like that.  Still looks like someone stuck a wooden dowel in the second hole for the original U bolt to me.  Then smeared it with sillycone.

 Climb inside there and lets see what the inside looks like LILDAWG1961. 

 Why do I see wood by that eye bolt ? There should be no wood there.  Maybe your buddy stuck a wooden dowel in the other hole where the U bolt belongs.  Will be interesting to see just what that eye bolt is bolted to, dont see a nut on the outside just a bunch of sillycone.

 How is the rest of the boat, stringers, transom, etc, etc.  Finding a "repair" like that would make me dig carefully through the rest of the boat looking for other issues.

 Casting #s are on the exhaust side of the head over the #2 and #7 cylinder exhaust ports (just below the valve cover rail).

 Can you contact the builder and get a part# for the cam he put in it ?  Thats what everyone is going to ask for next. 

 

 Like GT posted, check to make sure you are actually getting full throttle at the carb (primary and secondary sides are fully open at full throttle).  Check timing at 2500+ rpm.  Something screwy is going on here, even if theres a AA impeller in that pump.   3500rpm with an AA impeller is only right around 160hp.  Even a stock truck motor should do better than that.

 I did stop by the machine shop on my way home from work and my motor has a place in line now.  Just going to do some block clean up before it goes. 

 BTW,  there has been an official change of plans for power, the blower motor will be saved for a different project.  Still no E85 available around here, so I'm going to wait and see what happens with that. 
Coming soon, the rebirth of the "MIGHTY BBF" , and its going to be a big boy this time.

 Get away from it Ray before it infects you.    If you want a jet hydro, find a Sanger.  There at least a tunnel hull and stand a chance of working, with enough set up work and power.  Not to mention the Sanger is a thing of beauty, and that thing is FUGLY.

 Have Sawzall will travel. 

Have removed ALL of the foam in the boat. It weighed about 150 pounds total. The "bottom" of almost all of the foam was pretty damp, and the "top" of most of it was pretty dry. I suppose the boat will actually launch better, and maybe even go a bit faster after loseing all that weight, but proubly not much. At least now I know that everything is nice and dry under my floor.

 Good to see you got it all out of there, and the wood is still good.   150 lbs, it should work a bit better without all that weight under there, thats almost like haulin around a small dead body down there.
 If you think theres a chance the water will collect under there again, heres an idea.  I have seen a few people put a drain hole in the divider that separates that area from the bilge, make the same size hole as a transom drain and just stick a transom plug in there.  That way if it does get wet under there again you can just drain it.

 Damn it Omar,   I just wasted 3 hours with your old game. 

 BTW, the game must be broken now because its 100% impossible to get past level 29.

Why is it that the same government that would have NO PROBLEM Drafting my ass, then with minimal training, throw an automatic weapon and several destructive devices in my hands, purposely put me in harms way in a foreign country, such as we did in Vietnam and now in Iraq, just without the draft part, to accomplish something only THEY think is important. At the SAME FRIGGIN TIME, tell me I'm too stupid and/or irresponsible to drive a car without a seatbelt, ride a motorcycle without a helmet, or ride in a boat without a lifevest (And the plethora of other crap we're supposed to carry)

Am I the only one who sees it this way?   

Don't get me wrong, I'm as patriotic as the next guy, and thank every Vet I see. (Embarass the kids at the airport when I shake every uniformed soldiers hand I see and thank them). But, really?!?!

If they're really THAT concerned for our safety, then why not this...........EVERY political figure gives up their Secret Service guys protecting their asses and put them into local law enfocement at full pay. Their only job is to protect OUR asses. That's roughly 4500 agents, 90 per state, who's only job is to save our ass at any cost, unlike the PoPo......... Hows THAT for tax money at work?

 Something else to think about on this live vest situation,  Just how many of those pretty little females (with there bolt on boobies and perfect tans) do you think are going to want to spend a day on the lake with you on your boat when you tell them they have to wear a Coast Guard approved live vest.   I can hear it now, "I'm not going to wear that" it doesn't match my thong, it will give me ugly tan lines, etc, etc, etc.      Thats it, its time for the revolution !!!!!!!   I want to smoke anywhere I want to, ride a motorcycle with no helmet, use my used motor oil to kill weeds, start a fire in my fireplace whenever I want to, never have to make any car pass a smog test, and Not have to wear a live vest on my boat if I dont want to !!!!   

 Its just ridicules.  Imagine this, when I transferred the title of my Brendella into my name. I was sent a sticker that I'm supposed to put on the transom warning of carbon monoxide poisoning (or some such shit).  Do they really think the exhaust fumes from the zoomies are going to collect behind the boat?   Do they really think anyone will want to be behind that thing when its running ?  Do they really think I'm going to put that stupid sticker on my boat ??   I bet next year they send me the one with that little stick guy on it showing that you should not stick your foot into a propeller.
