I'm interested in Aquaholic's if you don't get it. I also have one I'm trying to get rid of. Tray is set up for dominator carb, so you would have to have it welded and re-cut to fit regular holley. Plus has a few chip outs. So I'll let it go for $50 or trade.

I used A B epoxy. You could also glass in some strap metal to run it through if you don't have wood to screw into.

Berkeley is the better of the pumps you named. One of the biggest reasons is the availability of parts from mild to wild. I'm on my 3rd project. The thing I've learned from it is figure out what you want and hold out for it. The right boat/deal will come along. I lucked into a deal on a tunnel v hull and i'll never go back to regular v hull again. The ride and handling are worth the wait and cost. In my research, I've found that it's cheaper to go fast with BBF vs. BBC. You can build a 547ci Ford that'll make 600hp on pump gas for about $6000. You can't even build a 540 Chevy short block for that. I was and still am a Chevy man but I accept the facts. My boats will be Ford powered.

Selling my Springfield-armory 1911 A1 Loaded pistol. It comes from SA with match trigger & hammer and extended beavertail, mag & slide release, and ambi safety. I've added Wilson Combat magwell and Hogue grips. Also have Blackhawk Serpa paddle holster and Blade Tech paddle mag pouch. It has 3 McCormick 8rd mags, 2 factory 7rd, & 5 military 7rd mags. Plus factory box with holster, mag pouch, and tools. Prefer to sell to AZ residents as much easier for paperwork.
But if you're willing to pay fees, I can have my dealer send to yours. I have over $1200 into it and less than 200 rds fired. $1000.

Running vacuum secondary 750 Holley. Playing with the idle mixture screws does nothing what so ever. I can't remember if I need to jet up or down? I'm thinking it is up considering these carbs are usually tuned for small block. Otherwise the thing is running pretty good. But I know it can run a little better.

Okay, finished putting it together about 3 and decided to make a quick run to the river for testing. By the time we got cooler, gear, gas and got to Fisher's Landing it was 5. Engine started to load up in the no wake zone, had to keep up the rpms and keep the shifter in slightly neutral position. Turned the corner onto the river and stomped on it. She popped up on plane quick and took off like a rocket. Handle rough stuff pretty good, but I noticed temp gauge climbing. I backed out of it a bit and she cooled down but then stayed pretty high (220) so we pulled over and beached it to check things out. Everything looked good, no heat waves and nothing looked discolored. I'm thinking the gauge or sender is way off. The tach is not working, the oil press bounced over chop, and voltmeter read low with 2 new batteries. I noticed I have a leak into the bilge but the new bilge pump took care of that pretty quick. I need to install a float switch. Got going again, I had to floor throttle to get it started. I'm thinking the idle mixture is too rich. Once she started up she seemed fine and we took off up river. Went as far as the first sand bar after the no ski buoys and headed back in. Man she turns smooth. She really rides smooth and doesn't beat you up crossing wakes. When we got back to Fisher's she seemed to be running better. Overall, I'm very happy with her performance. This boat really hauls the mail!!! I will have to whip out my phone and use the GPS app to see just how fast. I'm thinking she'll do 65-70 no problem. Motor ran pretty good, but I think I need to mess with the idle mixture. I'll pull the plugs and see. Carb seemed alright at speed. No hesitation. I'm going to have to look for a set of good gauges (got my eye on Autometer ProComp Marine ones I saw on CP) and replace the sending units while I'm at it. But for now, I will check all the bolts, oil, and plugs and plan our next trip. Maybe Monday!
