Made a plate to bolt the gas pedal to since it decided to pull out when I was working on it Friday afternoon. Then messed with the points trying to get it set right and finally gave up knowing that I will be converting to electronic this week anyways.

Got the boat home and put a charger on the battery. Let it sit for a while then gave it a quick crank and she fired right up. Damn thing. Going to ditch the points this week and maybe take it to vet stadium for a quick test run. Still not sure about the salt water though.

Nothing I've read on this forum could have prepared me for how good of a time I had. One of the best trips I have ever had, even with my boat not running after working on it all day Friday on the beach. So many great people. Thank you all for an amazing time. Just like one big family. I can't wait to do it again.

Does anybody have an extra steering tube nut? I got a new tube from Place but they didn't have any nuts. I have one from my old one but still need one more. Trying to leave this afternoon so if I can't get it before I can meet at the Avi later tonight or tomorrow and put in on in the parking lot. Anywhere from Lakewood to Laughlin I will go to get it.
