I stopped by Jet Boat Performance yesterday and talked to Tom about the water lines and how they are built. Just curious how you were going to get them to collect into one. What you were going to use to sodder them together in the larger tube with. He was saying that you have to use silver sodder. Talked jto a jeweler friend who said it is stronger than lead sodder plus it has a higher melting temp which is good since it is going to be next to direct heat.

I wanted to change the oil on my boat as well before I hit the water. What is the easiest way, pump it out of the dip stick hole or try and fit a trash bag or something under the oil pan?

I just picked up one about a month ago it is a 77'. I know that if you check craigslist in the La, Inland Empire there is a 1980 Eliminator Sprint for sale with a 429 ford motor. Here is a link to the same boat but different site.

I was hoping to see the valve covers so I can get an idea of what they look like. Kinda of mental image of them on my boat. Not a question of them being straight or not. If they are what I am thinking I will buy them this weekend when I head over to Paso.

I am game on B.V. I can't wait to go test her out. Never had a chance to put her on the water. Just got to hear the motor purr. That and a visual inspection o the hull which turned out really good. I do want to find out if I need to take the pump to Tom though so I would love to hit the water first warm day. Tom I called the shop and asked about the water lines. I didn't talk to you but your guy quoted me 150 and aid that you have to sen the measurements off to get the lines made. I am glad to hear otherwise. I will definitely be by Saturday.

It's an Eliminator Sprint. I trust my sodering skills just need to see what the line is going to cost me or I may have to go see Tom. I am going to Paso this weekend anyways to have some sandblasting done on my headres might as well stop by and pay him a visit and see what he has.

If you have your engineering degree you could try Aera Energy. Same company I work for. They have offices in Huntington Beach, Ventura, Bakersfield, San Ardo (north of Paso 30 min.), and Coalinga. Other than that you could try some of the lumber companies. I know Hayward Lumber out of Paso/San Luis Obispo does computer design for construction. Well at least I think they do

Right on. Ya I have only been here for about two years. Not the easiest town to meet people in either. So meeting new people to hit the lake with would be great. I know here we have Ming and Buena Vista but I have heard mixed things about both. Looking forward to Naciemento though if we get some more rain. How do you post pics on here?

Today I am working between Maricopa and Taft in the middle of BFE. Just had two fighter jets buzz my head by maybe 100 ft. doing what they do very well. Haulin ass, looking cool and sounding cooler. Nice to know we still have someone to count on.

I am also right off of Brimhall and Calloway. Crazy stuff. What kind of boat are you running? I have one set of lines it's just that they don't match up with my injection ports on my headers. They are a custom make from a company called Cobra Headers out of Anaheim. I don't think they are around anymore seeing that I can get any info on them so I guess I will have to try and fab some up myself. Just break line brazed together inside one larger line if I am not mistaken?

Hey I picked up some New Headers for my BBC. The are designed for water injection however they did not come with the lines. What is the easiest way to come up with some new lines or is it best to just build them?
