I buy many things from HB, but go in considering everything I buy "disposable". Especially anything with a motor or electronics. That said I cannot get pissed off when the $10 super tool breaks or does not do ist job as well as a name brand.

So the service engine light has been coming on in my truck for a while. I was told a while ago that it was the EGR valve and passages. A buddy of mine cleaned out the EGR valve, but said that the passages on these are notorious for plugging up. Another buddy with the same truck had the same issue and it was a $3500 deal. The truck started to sputter a bit today so it looks like I need to do something.
Anybody know about this issue or know a GOOD deisel mechanic near La Verne?

1973 HD Servi Car. 750 CC Twin. Left hand throttle, left foot clutch, suicide shift on right side. I believe many of these bikes were used by meter maids. Belongs to my father in law. Here's what I know about it. Originally a police bike in San Francisco. Bought by 2nd owner from the SFPD in 1992. He restored the bike and first registered it in 9/02. It has 1300 miles since restoration. Bought by my father in law in 2006. Health issues prevent him from riding it so it is up for sale. Have most of the receipts from the 2nd owners resto.
He is asking $16,200 obo. The bike is currently in SoCal for the pomona swap meet on 3/7.

I feel your pain! Not in exactly the same way though. Motorcyles we don't have time to ride, family boat that seems to be allergic to water, 63 Skylark convertible project sitting for about 6 years with almost no work done. Add to that Bebo's Crusader project, 4 kids, boys are in multiple sports, religious ed and Boy Scouts. I am also an Assistant Scoutmaster. Girls are in multiple sports, religous ed and now starting girl scouts.
Been unemployed for a year and trying to make ends meet while my awesome wife works her ass off. Thank god she has a good job!
Still trying to keep everyone happy.
Sorry for the novel. Felt good to vent though.

I probably should have given out some kharma already, but was a little reluctant since I was not really sure on how easily or not kharma was deserved or earned. Cakemoto, it looks to me as though the seats are a screw down permanent mount type thing. I believe you would set them on some type of base.

We are working with an extremely limited budget and have been shown nothing but good will from many people.
