The Parker Strip / Re: Parker gathering 6/13-6/14
« on: April 08, 2008, 01:24:16 PM »
Hmmm let's think about this a minute?
1)  A bunch of hot rodders all gathered in one place
2)  With their hot rods
3)  Most of them have never met
4)  Some of them have already started the trash talk
5)  Mass amounts of beer will be nearby

Yup I'm pretty sure that there will be racing, just no timing equipment or safety safari

Well unfortunatly my boat won't be one of the boats racing. Matter of fact it wont even make it to parker,
Still have way to much to do and not enough time and money :banghead:

Acetone is for cleaning NOT thinning.  You use Styrene to thin with.

I call bullshit..........look on a can of acetone, it even states it is an epoxy and fiberglass thinner. ;D

i see....you dont register boats in AZ at the dmv....but at the rangers station?

let me know what your total reg (trailer and boat) is for AZ....i want to compair it to CA rates...

Trailer for a lifetime is  $130 and for the boat its  $13.50 per year
Thats what my last reg cost me a couple of years ago, im sure it hasn't changed much.  But then again ???

why 2 different cities? just curious.

Trailer is a dmv thing , and the boat has to go to the rangers to be registered and of course they cant be all in one town.....
I would have already done it , but i hate the drive to Kingman :banghead:
Stupid with all the freakin boats we have here , im surprised they dont make me go to a town that has no water ,  Oh wait.........thats kingman ???

Glad it worked out for you. Yes to be USCG approved the feed must be on the top of the tank, so I was wondering why it was on the side. Looks good.
  T.J.

This is a retired circle boat and it was set up for one thing.............RACING ;D  thats why they used the side port....he ran 1/2"  ID fuel line    so now i will take it back to 3/8 fuel line, which will be plenty. Its no longer a race boat ;)  Thanks for all the suggestions, but once again i got ahead of myself!

Well after investigating  (sp) further  i found out that the top hole is actually the pick up tube built in ;D  Soooo........ i guess this is all for no reason again :banghead:

I plugged off the fill hole with a towel and the airhose and plugged the other hole, shot air into it and Woo Hoo, Im an idiot :screwy:

I just need to go get a couple fittings............

My tanks are Stainless..
2sav

3168
can you just plug that one and use the other  bung i see in the pic for a top/bottom feed?

I probably can but i will still need some type of fuel pick up tube , and i have to see if it will clear the Gunwale ???

I will go shove it in and see what kind of room i got............ Im thinking about what you said , and just solder another one together ???

2sav

This is what came out of the tank..

Dont know if you can see but this side was restricting the flow, like it was smashed inside. Looks like a home made job

So can anyone tell me what to do or where to look / go , to get a replacement and have it done up right this time ???

This feeds from the side of the tank...... :banghead:

I am starting to clean up my tanks so i can install them back in the boat.. But i found a problem with the Fuel connection or whatever you call it :banghead:

I am loading pics now , and can someone tell me where to get these parts or something better to use ???
