The No Wake Zone / Almost there
« on: June 13, 2012, 03:50:15 PM »
Been 3 summers without a boat. Finally scraping a little cash up and hoping to be on the water soon. Got my eye on a daycruiser, but it's a little more than I have right now. If you guys hear of anyone selling a cheap daycruiser or open bow let me know. I should have about $1500-$2000 to spend by the end of the month.  :) Like I said cheap lol  :screwy: :sly:

Ok, sold the trailer. Now I'm looking for the boat. Found a nice running daycruiser with so so interior and sun beat paint, I may jump on it when I get a little more $ next month. Still looking for "the one".

What have you got for sale? My budget should be in the $1500 to $2000 range.  :)

One more thing, I prefer it to be chevy or ford power. I have a 396 and a 460 available to put in it.

Project Boats For Sale / Project wanted

Looking for a project boat. Something with decent interior and needs engine rebuild (or complete engine). Must have Berk pump (don't know how to work on others lol). Not too worried about paint, as I have a hook-up for paint work.

Hoping to find something I could have on the water by the end of summer or next summer at latest. Thanks!!!

SCJB Cash price is $800 firm. I'd rather trade it for a boat project. Something with decent interior but needs motor or pump work done.

as you can see, one wall of shower needs vinyl replaced and the bathroom has standard toilet.

22ft 1979 Terry travel trailer. Bought as a project but I need a boat more than trailer.  Has been parked for a long time. It was lived in for 10 years before that. Needs battery and propane tank (I'd replace external gas lines) plus heavy cleaning. Marker and taillights need covers or replace. Figure it's worth about 1200, trade for boat of similar value or condition. Call or text me at 760-234-6776

Will try to get pics up tomorrow.

The No Wake Zone / Bad news Fisher's Landing

If you're a regular at Fisher's Landing,  you've probably met Irv at some point.  He used to manage the park and storage there. I'm sad to report that Irv lost his battle with cancer and passed away. He will be missed.

Awesome. It continues to get better everyday. I'm still riding on the high you're feeling. My latest high was watching my son graduate from Usmc boot camp! Seems like yesterday that he was born.

I work in comifornia and live in Yuma Az. Love Yuma, minutes from river, dunes, & desert. Summers are rough but winters are great. Az is ultra gun friendly and schools are good. It's worth the hour drive to work. Only problem is job market blows.

I think you could easily make 500hp from bbf for $3000 if you have a solid foundation (CJ heads or ported DOVEs) and good hook up on machine work and parts. You sometimes get some good deals on parts on 460ford.com but like everyone else said, call Paul (Lakesonly) first. He's probably forgot more about 460's than I'll ever know!!!

Ps. Nick, you can build a bbf stroker far cheaper than a bbc.
