I want to find a nice home for it where it will be loved and have a place to sleep. Is it worth anything to anybody?

I have two. Paid for by the company worked for at the time. 90% of the time they are a waste of time. Another 8% is just to impress customers or investors. 2% are truly revolutionary and will make big $'s for the holder. Here's my $.02. If you have $25k then you can afford the process. If you have another $100k then you can defend it if someone infringes. If you have another $250k and 10 yrs then you can ultimately prevail in court if you have the balls and stamina to go that far.

Finally, if your idea is very "narrow" (patent speak) then it will be easy for someone to figure out another similar way to get around it. Only broad based patents can really protect anything. Narrow is like "I made a blue colored cell phone." Broad is like "I came up with the I-Pod nav wheel and software - eat me."

Perfect winter project. Restore this beautiful, high quality boat to greater glory! This hull is in great shape. Lavey knew how to make 'em right! Serno PBSA00410174. 13 degree hull. Amazing sculpted details in the foredeck and transom area. Single family owners. Stored indoors for 90%-99% of the past 34 years.

Hull is equipped with a Jaccuzi 12YJ/B Pump. Twin side fuel tanks totaling approx 60 gallons. Hull, transom and stringers look great. Deck paint and gel coat look good but faded. No spider cracks that I can find. Rub bumper shows evidence of a few small to medium bumps. Floor and seat bases should probably be replaced. (Hey, 34 years is 34 years.) Lower hull has rub marks where trailer fenders and hull made contact. Original seat frames, padding and upholstery have been saved should you wish to replicate them. Detailed photos are available of everything.

Buy this boat:
a) With or without Jaccuzi pump. $2k with, $1.5 without
b) With or without original Olds 455 motor. $2.3k with
c) With or without a single axle “transport” trailer. The trailer is only a transport trailer and is not the correct size for the boat. Add $200 if you want this trailer.

The boat is stored near Portland, OR. I can probably deliver to other locations near the left coast.

I got towed in by a sailboat once........out of gas

Last week I watched a nice wakeboard boat with all the bling get towed in by a lakelice. Laughed my ass off but also thanked the boat gods it wasn't me that time.

My first time driving a jet was Sacramento delta in one of those narrow friggin things they think are wide enough to ski on. I went to turn a 180 and WTFO, the boat just slowly turns straight into the shore at 35mph. Wasn't my boat and I was damned if I was going up on the bank, so I shifted into reverse and floored it. Lucked out that time. No wave over the transom, no mud into the intake (at least none that stayed in) and didn't clog the cooling lines or block and the bow just barely kissed the reeds on the shore. Had to throw away my shorts tho - they were all stinky and gooey.

Anybody know anything about these boats?
1974 22' Olds motor is out of boat. Berk jet.

I want my air clean when it gets to the carb.

Clarification: I don't race my boat - I ski a lot with it. Yes I am talking about turning fins located mid-ship on the "keel". Just like 1000's of tournament ski/wakeboard boats.

Another reason is to put a slight skew or crab to the way the boat tracks thru the water. If the rudder were perfect in the center, the hull will tend to waffle back and forth (or whatever the correct sailing term is).

Like I said - I'm OUT. It's too far from where I live and I have too many other things going on  . GT - was your wife including all the free pine tree needles that come with this boat? (Look around the engine shot in the bilge.)

I see that two of you are in NorCal. I'm going to pass on buying the boat with the F-style pump but I thought you might like to hear about it. The deal is the guy selling it is in Grass Valley (near Sac) and he isn't listing it as a boat. He's trying to sell the motor and the boat and trailer come along for the ride. The boat is a 22-24' Tahiti with damage somewhere due to a tree limb falling on it. Also full of pine needles and s---. But the motor is a 454 BBC with Panther logs and valve covers (maybe more). The pump is a Berk 12JF as I said. The trailer is a tandem axle with hyd surge brakes. He's asking $2k but nobody's going for it. If I lived closer I would jump all over this and part it out. I've got a few pics he emailed me - I can forward if you want.

Check out this photo at 35mph (hey it's a ski boat!) Is that the way it should look? That spray thats shootin back at the transom from out around the yoke... is that normal?
