Sounds to me like your best bet is to part it out.  Put up pics on the different sights and see if you can get anything for the parts because as a package is doesn't sound like much.

I like the old saying, "If they made it as expensive to get married as it is to get divorced, there would be a hole lot less people getting divorced."

Spent the whole weekend trying to make a trailer fit my boat, and I'm still not done.  :P

Out here in Ca, if they can't find the VIN# they will just issue you a new one.  Just tell them it's a home built and the tag came off during painting.  I've done this a few times.

Thanks again for the welcome.  One of the things I've admired about the group on this site is your get togethers.  I'm really looking forward to the Avi trip.  I've been showing my wife some the the videos of your outings.  I go to the river for the boating and to relax, she goes for the people and the party.  We are kinda of combining this trip, maiden voyage of the boat and our 29th wedding anniversary (Oct 1) all in one.   We are both looking forward to meeting all who are able to make the trip. Hopefully the first of many.
Greg

Thank you all for the welcome.  I wanted to put up a couple pics so 88 Carrera believes I'm real, but some how the memory stick with all my pics is missing, hopefully only temporary.

Ka0tyk I think you probably have seen the pics on PB in the jet section, I see you there regularly.

19Dana, Ya, this is the boat that the previous owner tried to use as a rock crawler.  Luckily the damage was mostly isolated to the left front sponson below the rub rail.  Once he got on top of the rocks he just skipped right over. I think that guy has sunk this boat, crashed this boat, and sunk his new boat at least once.  Maybe he should try a different hobby.

JMS-1 Thanks for the compliments and for checking out the build. It's been a lot of work, but it's been fun because we have been fabricating as many of the parts as we can.  I can  tell you I can't wait to finally get to use it.
Basically the boat is usable.  I will pull the motor out again in the winter and have all the aluminum parts blinged out.  I've bought a trailer that I'm modifying to fit this boat.  After I get the boat on the trailer, I'm taking it to B1 racing in Santa Ana to have Chris install one of his loaders and help me set up all the hardware so I at least have a base setting to start from.

Since I can't find my pics at the moment I'll post a link to my build.  I hope this doesn't offend the powers here.

Test / Re: pic
« on: September 20, 2012, 11:32:11 AM »
Haha it is a test section but I am looking    >:D nice boat. It looks a lot like my Scorpion from the back

I've been doing a resto on this for a while now.  I'm just finishing it up.  I was doing a little introduction in the No Wake zone and wanted to show  a pic or two but I wanted to figure it out how before I embarrass myself in front of the whole class.

I actually have a build thread on PB, but I didn't now if it would be in poor form to attach the link.

I'll put the link up here if you want to go look at it.  I don't have most of my pics with me on this computer so I really can't show much  right know.

The No Wake Zone / Allow me to introduce myself....
« on: September 20, 2012, 08:33:44 AM »
Just wanted to do a quick introduction over here,  My name's Greg and I cruise in and out of here from time to time but I haven't involved myself with the conversation on this fine sight.  I've been doing a resto on a previously crashed 19' Ultra tunnel hull for almost 2 years.  Well It's almost time to actually take it to the river for the first time even though summers about over.  I've become friends with Crewchief 22 through business and we always talk boats and river.  I've been jealous every time he comes back from one of your outings with a big smile and stories of the weekends adventures and I always tell him , "One of these times I'm going to make it out with you guy's."  Well he told me about your end of summer get together at Avi in Oct and I think that will be about perfect timing for me.  So, I'm going to make my reservations and hope that the little bastad called "Murphy " doesn't find me and throw a wrench into my plans at the last minute.  I don't have a complete picture of the boat, just a bunch of build pictures, but it's what I call a FED EX color scheme, white with purple and green  tribal stripes  guess you could say.  That way maybe someone can wave me down and point me in the right direction if I'm wondering aimlessly up and down the river looking lost.  Hope to meet all of the SCJB clan that's going, Greg
