how much do your seats weigh?  those armrests are super solid.  mine are just 3/4" plywood and they weigh a ton.

pull the thermostat out of it and see if it overheats.

theres also test strips for coolant that will tell you if theres hydrocarbons in the fluid from the combustion chamber indicating a head gasket failure.  are you loosing coolant?

have em cleaned.  you can sit there with additives and nuts and bolts, acetone, etc and it wont get near as clean as someone with a spray nozzle in there.  i had my tanks in the tahiti cleaned after i filled up 3 filters with crap and got stuck twice.

nope just browsing CL and it looked like a good deal.  lots of boats need seats and they dont come around very often.  unless you're like the guy that puts the fold up bass boat seats in...  :sly:

« on: June 23, 2014, 03:39:19 AM »
This is for the TITLE only.  Already registered PTI, etc.  Just transfer it to your name.  Perfect for those of you with a non registered trailer because you dont have a title for it.  Time to get legal.

Engine Mechanical / Electrical / Re: PTO question
« on: June 22, 2014, 10:59:04 AM »
the PTO for a flexplate has a register to the inside of the crank that sticks through the flexplate.   the PTO for a flywheel has a register for the inside diameter of a flywheel. its what centers the PTO.

Not gonna lie I've had it for a while.  I was tooling thru Costco and it was on sale, and it sat in a box for a good while.  Then recently we've been using it to cool our nursery for our baby.  It works great, but I've decided to jump into a muuuuch higher BTU to cool the whole house.  This works great for cooling a single room.  Has a remote as well.

Asking $50.  New ones are $120.

21 daycruiser... best of both worlds.

168 and 153 is standard.  you mustve counted a tooth twice.

153 is a 13" flexplate and typically small block, 168 is 14" and is big block (bigger plate to give more force to turn the extra cubic inches).  168 is going to have a starter with staggered bolt holes as well...  but you CAN technically use either as long as the starter bolts up.  the starter will have the same number of teeth.

Maybe you missed its filled with 14+ quarts of oil....and was 40+ gallons of rain water. I pulled the cover a month or so ago and a ton of the water has evaporated... Gunna drain it into a 55 gallon drum here soon. Yeah, my fault for neglect, but I was in a bad spot when this thing let go last summer. It was my last concern at the time.

I have a motor I can piece together that I can put in it, but nothing competitive....so what's the point?

Flat black boat with a 7 gallon gas tank is no river cruiser lol

eh 5 gallon bucket at a time to autozone here and there.  it'll be dry before you know it.

why would you leave it filled with water?  get that tongue in the air, dry it out and get back on that horse.  one step at a time.

I might expect 23.7 mph. Don't care as long as beer is cold and bbq is hot. I'll find a way to mount the superjet on it if I wanna go fast for a minute.

haha dont blink you'll be at the other end of the lake before you know it!

that is 100% bad ass.  that little 50hp motor probably isnt even enough to get across the lake if its windy out. hah.  id say screw the upholstery... take some mexican blankets and cover the existing ripped stuff, staple/bungee em nice and tight and do it budget style.  its a pontoon, its gonna sit outside.  who cares?!?!

I know you have a navigator and I have a Tahoe there about the same size do you think they'll fit with seat folded down?

Sent from my SCH-I545 using SoCal Jet Boats mobile app

yeah they'll fit inside of my SUV no problem.  worst case unbolt the fenders from em.
