Engine Mechanical / Electrical / Re: Would this set up work for me
« on: March 23, 2008, 10:08:32 AM »
If I were you 2sav I would go the Summit equipment route. Made in USA better stats than the MSD and they few I have seen around here were performing pretty well. Almost $100 less than the 6al and you get digital circuitry. Ask Tom at JBP he likes em to.

$143.99

There is a grove there that looks like a big o-ring would go in it, but there is no o-ring there, just silicon. What is the proper way of sealing the transom cover?

Same scenario. when i had my Energizer kit installed they used a shit load of silicon and kept the gaskets, probably to re'sale to another customer :banghead:

I am always amazed as to why people put so much silcon on shit .  :screwy:

-beerjet-

Because it develops leaks over the years and as it trades hands to new owners, they just add more silicon :banghead: Instead of just fixin the problem.

Looking good by the way ;D

Ok now someones got to hook me up on where you got all your hose and fittings from. I have all the lines done in SS with A N fittings but its all garbage and will cost me a arm and a leg to replace.
I would rather just get it in the water without losing a limb doing it :banghead:

Looks great........
