What's Home Improvement? if that means is the Blower finally off my kitchen counter, yes it is! I succeeded! Other than that, my time is still spent in or around the garage thinking of other problems I can subject myself to. (Anyone think a Small Block Chevy doesn't have the balls for a jet boat? That's the latest thing I've found myself toying with).

As I get my garage organized so I can get 2 boats in it, I sat down and noticed something.

While I thought the Moo (A 78 Sleek Rebel), and the Loogie (A 76 Sleek Streaker), shared the same lines, I was always looking at the bow end of things. This pic should illustrate the differences I see now!!!!! No Wonder I nearly sank it!

yeah i was looking at the steering deal and came up with the idea that it may be some kind of quick steering deal it is definately interesting...the pump appears of berk split bowl nature and hold strong on the berk 12jg pump, but it is down under so who knows....

Definately interesting to find out more about this boat. The more I look at it, the more intrigued I get. Very low location for the O/B dump, apparently must be a bow fuel tank (Don't appear to be in the gunnels), As Nordie noticed, why's the steering cable coming out of the transom and not the transom adaptor (Which looks to have a location for it), looks like a set back style installed pump with a transom adaptor I've never seen, and if the pumps set back, whys the engine so far forward?

I have more questions, beleive me, than answers, but that's a start 

Oh, just thought of this, since the vortex of your bathtub drain goes backwards from how it does here in the Northern Hemisphere, does that not mean a reverse rotation engine and pump is required???
(might explain the levitating boat theory........) lol.

Keith, I just "Happen" to have a 1982 KZ 750 LTD Engine...................As well as the rest of it I wrecked back in 1997. (Long story, but motors still good with 10k miles on it) And FWIW, I had 2 back then. a 1979 KZ 1000 LTD and the 750. The 750 would SMOKE the 1000 pretty regularly, but once in awhile, the 1000 would shock you with raw HP (This was my lil brother and I trading off bikes back then, long story short, you never knew what that 1000 was gonna do when landed on at any RPM in any particular gear)! When the 750 won, it was by a little, when the 1000 won, by contrast, was by a LOT!!!! That thing COULD be wicked! (Actually can still buy that bike back to this day, it's in a Shed in PA, owner scared to death of it).

The 1000 was so unruly at low speed I rarely drove it after those years, and Extremely unpredictable when landed on...... I learned quickly why they called it the "widowmaker", and sold that puppy after owning it for six years.

So did I at first!  But those ratchet straps appear to be hooked to something. Maybe to anchors in the ground to keep it in the drive?

I agree with Josh, given the year, probably a JG, although could be a JB or JA if a retrofit boat (Could very well be if Berks are as rare as you say there in the land of Roos and Wallabes).

Steering IS on the wrong side for us Yanks not running whackers, but I have looked at more than one jet here in the Southwest US with right side drive. In front of the clean-out hand hole cover should be the oval label Josh referred to. Wouldn't be unusual for it to be missing either, but it will tell you the model, original impeller, and serial number. Year would come from the serial, but unimportant, really. Yes, they are ALWAYS in the center (Unless sumpin REALLY screwy like the couple twin jets I've seen).  

I can't say much about the Dizzy any more though. I get to deal with it from both ends these days, so best to keep my mouth shut! They feel the same to me. (No, that is NOT a siggy line, but it DOES read like one, now that I re read it, LOL! I guess feel free! Teach me to come home and drink 2 beers in succession before posting!).

I am interested in just HOW those exhausts are hooked up and how they work THAT low on the transom. Never seen that before on a Jet Boat. More pics! More Pics! Looks like a VERY interesting Dingy you got there mate! I think we're all gonna be interested in seeing what you do with this thing if you buy it! (And YES! wanna see wildlife and scenery!)

PS, also either appears trailer either does NOT fit the boat, or the boat is nowhere near forward enough on it. This will cause some hook in the bottom over long periods. Just food for thought

Love to come and at least try and help out. Not sure what I could do, but flying my parents in that weekend (What a guilt trip THAT should leave me with), and the Ex-Wife flying in the weekend before. (Could be an even BIGGER guilt trip, based on what she co-earsed me into LAST time she came out there  ).

Anyway, good luck! Last time I saw the Crazy 8's she was running fine after the 1050 install, and sounds like most aren't going. The 1150 should wake that byatch up even more!

This year though, I want to make more than a few races and see what this is all about!
