Don't eliminate the ride plate, just trim it to the correct length and adjust it acoridingly.  Just because its not a race boat doesnt mean it can't be benificial to the overal ride quality and set up.  Especially if you are going to add other hardware (like a droop)  It gives you one more level of control.  my .02, don't go backwards.

Going backwards is my middle name :o But you'r right i was just pissed when i said it........ Can i still get Bayjet gaskets? Cause there was about ten pounds of silicon on this bitch :banghead: it was water proof ;D

the metal brkts had nylon insulators in them

And that will keep them from making contact and burning out the gauge, but without them on metal brackets.................Remember up in smoke ;D

I have to disagree.  I've got brand new, in the box still, Beede gauges and all of them have aluminum brackets for holding them to the dash.

Thanks for that pic , i was wondering what the back looked like ;D those will work perfect............ ;D I need gauges. Rods right about the brackets , they will short it out. Yours are just for mounting the gauge not wiring it ;)

I notched one side out cause of the angle

and its loose now it will almost pull out. I think i need a set that has a seperate mount, not combined like this one is ???

If i had one that had the metal bracket on the back like  i have seen before, i could just bend it and it would be just fine.

Ok im trying to install these old gauges from the Omega with some angled bezels but i cant get it on right.......... wtf do you have to do to get it to connect again, the little plastic piece on the back of the gauge wont hook back on even when i ground out one side..........Do the newer gauges have longer terminals to make it fit better or what...... :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
