I think that motor Riptide has would be a good proven boat motor. Mine more of a car/truck motor but is a fresh rebuild never been fired.

I've been thinking the same thing. From what I've read as far as an older hull goes I think Bahner leads the way. I could be wrong. But it seems like they take the least amount of HP to hit the 100 mph mark. I'm also considering a Hondo/ Cole t deck just for the leg room. I'm sure Beerjet will chime in and tell me it's just the looks I'm going for.
