Cheap vatozone air cleaner with a nylock nut on my single Dooley scoop. My dad had aluminum brackets inside with nylock nuts.

Well spent all this money fixing this boat for the problem to come back later I stripped this thing and picked up a 72 Rogers now have it almost together and going from a panther jet to a Berkeley my 3 point mount bell housing don't work my pto puck and u joint set up together is one inch to long any suggestions on a quick inexpensive fix

grab a 4 point rail mount setup.  you'll thank me later.  its just SOOOO much cleaner, easier to pull the motor, etc.  as far as the driveshaft, the panther is pretty long... 1310 driveshafts for berks come up in the for sale section all the time.  you made a big change in your setup, now its time to grab all the right parts.

ive ran em on both sides...  if you have an electrical fuel pump you should put it on the passenger side because that exhaust manifold sits further back, so you can tuck it up next to the motor.  if you have mechanical then obviously it goes on the drivers side and because that manifold sits forward the alternator isnt gonna be able to tuck in as close.  i used the lower mount from cpperformance/hardin marine. 

i came across this post cause i had this samething this weekend, is there anybody that has found a fix to fiberglass tanks coming apart inside, besides putting in aluminum tanks in?

you need to make putting alum tanks in your boat a priority.  if you're gumming up filters, you're also gumming up your fuel lines, carb, and engine.  your tanks are literally disintegrating and eventually you'll have a fuel leak and possibly a fire.  fiberglass tanks cant stand up to todays fuel.

dont vac secondary carbs not work very well with tunnel rams? 

just finishing bolting everything up and getting it all aligned.  goddamn theres a lot of long ubolts to tighten. then i gotta trim them all.  but its sitting on the suspension now and off the jackstands.  so far so good.  all the equalizers are looking pretty level and thats a good sign, and a good amount of weight on the tongue. next is drilling the holes to bolt the skids to the trailer, and then im going to build the mounts for the fenders. 

my cheapy harbor freight stand looks like its one ounce away from breaking if i put my motor + exhaust on it.  the thing is super sketchy bending and makes weird creaking noises.  but so far no issues.  sucks man... hopefully nothing more was damaged...
