I think Chromey has a complete WJ for sale doesn't he? 3 bones is what I remember. The engine, well, Lakesonly, Ralph, Jim Brock, and well, me as of late, have a few layin around in various stages from complete runners to needing complete overhauls. Depends on what you want and what you wanna pay.

At the bequest (actually demand) of my employees and employers alike I finally signed up on Facebook a couple weeks ago. Never did the Myspace thing as, in My mind, was a kinda place to either try and lie your way into a hookup or was a waste of time. So, anyway, I post a bunch of boat pics up and let's see what happens (That seems to be my life at the moment).

Tell me if myspace is different, Omar.

Since signing up and posting stuff (Mostly communicating with parents of Cin's old students and people I work with) I keep seeing these "suggested contacts I may know"  I've followed up on a few . I've found people from my childhood up through the last 10 years and have at least gotten back in touch.

Does Myspace do this? I think not, and it's been right every time! (Kinda scarey how the hell it does it, but whatever).

Found people I went to school with, partied with, even one, so far, I built cars with back in the day.

So Yeah, Facebook is Valid, IMO, and unless you're looking for a hookup or something else, (from what I understand), Myspace is a waste of time. (Then again, I've never tried it soooooooo.............)

Glen's  got a valid point. He's prolly seen more than his share of this and customers expecting him to absorb what the other guys screwed them out of. Not gonna happen.

That ain't fair to expect that either. He deserves to be paid for what he's gonna do, and fix, retro fix, etc, and be paid a fair price for doing it.

The problem is the original shop, and your focus needs to remain there. Glen or glen's shop is not the issue here.

I agree, and I think Glenn does too, that 3 months is a far too long time to get a boat done, no matter what's wrong with it. That's beyond whatever the original contracted time frame was. I did the Moo in about 5 weeks. Brad built his race boat, in far worse shape than mine was, in 6, and his Southwind in less than 2. 2Sav has built boats in less time (When there's not a floor involved  ), and I can post link after link of SELF built boats built in 3 months or less from this site alone. I've seen where Crewcheif build engines, and then rebuild them, in less than 2 weeks at home.

We are all doing this while maintaining full time jobs. What's their problem? So YEAH, name drop, and drop actual names of your contacts. That will help all!

I would elaborate more, and some on this site know the BS legal issue that was put on my plate by some greedy members of my late wifes family. I could settle it out, but to be honest, I am fighting it through and through. My thinking is I'd rather spend $50,000 putting those bitches in their place than give them $5. (Is that bull-headed?)

Just me, but that's how I was raised. What's right is right. And that's exactly what I'm doing.

After the input I got from that event, the Moo prolly would not do it, lol. (My GPS apparently doesn't read what everyone else's does........still........(did it again yesterday)........ which could very well be!)

I'll send Moo over there for a week or so, problem will be solved. She kills 5 to 6 pidgeons a week. Her personal best was 9. (Gets to be a pain cleaning up the dead birds behind her!) ASPCA can't touch you that way, lol.

Mine idles a lot lower when warmed up. Just always figured it was something in the Unilite that reacts to temp. Maybe not, lol.

I dunno, could be a carb issue, I suppose, I know it's not on mine as the carbs are actually MUCH colder after running hard than they are at startup. Could also be something in the dizzy reacting to temp. Hellifiknow.

Trannys are not a problem for the Olds. Any Buick, Olds, or Pontiac tranny will fit (Dime a dozen, and go for a TH400), including Powerglides designed for them (Kinda rare). Chebbie transmissions won't fit, but that's a minor affair.
