Might have found a polished single carb Edelbrock TRX, what are you looking for in particular?

Trying to give him a fair shot at it if he really wants it. His thread and all, wouldn't be right. Don't know what "end of the work week" means  ???

Sounds great TJ! Though not as impressive as the mill going in is, but the attention to details like this will pay huge dividends I'm sure!

No, I really couldn't do the O/T thing, but I could do Zoomies to a collector/ log deal! Or center risers! or just mount doll heads or something even more sik with the TT outlets! I dunno, but I LIKE that thing! (Steve just informed me that the thing came from Vegas, how fokked up is THAT?)

They've been around for what, 30 years or so? I remember seeing a Yamaha ad for them back in the 80's (I was in the northeast at the time) Have no clue how they perform though.

In Omar's......Chair????? C'mon, wheres the pics! I know there was more to it than that......

I said it before in another thread, and I'll reiterate it here, Congratulations Jen and Brad! You two are one of the cutest and most compatible couples I have ever seen! You're gonna be just fine.

I know you've been together awhile, but now being legally required to attend puts a new spin on a lot of things. Brad I'm sure already knows all about the toilet seat and the hers and hers closets and all bathrooms in the domicile. And now she has vested interest in all things that were once B-Rad, lol. But that is good in this case.

Spent a very limited amount time with you guys, but I can see a couple of things. You adore each other, and you respect each other. Other that that, nothing else really required  except have a happy 50 years together! and I beleive you will.

My late wife would have NEVER climbed into any race boat I may have built, hell, she'da killed me over how I built the Moo! Slow and steady, and no open headers she woulda wanted! She woulda been just fine with it, watching from shore, (but I watched Jen (Miss Texas)do just that, climbing into the Crazy 8's, and giggle about it!)

That impressed the hell outta me! Even though I tend to avoid (at all costs if possible) couples gatherings these days, that night at the bar was a hoot watching everyone! (And Jen did her share of antagonazing a LOT of it!, lol). I learned a lot about all of you.

And, can SOMEONE fix the mispelling on the thread title? I know I do it from time to time too, but this is a little different, lol!

Don't look Ray, no they do not make a reverse rotation impeller and bowl.  :sly:

two 383 MOPAR's     http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/boa/1264676917.html

GT

They don't? What a shame! Oh well, I guess it would make turning one way a littel harder than the other way is all.

Give me any ideas what????? Already had them!  >:D Terry,  Think how easy that would be on the Hallett! Machine a second keyway into the crank snouts, coupler........hmmmmmmm might not be enough room for even two seats, but might be fun!

766 CI v-16! Glenn, you wanna get these and store them for me?( won't be long!) lol I think the guys bringing me the other 460 I bought, so I'll save you that (Too bad I didn't find that 460 before you guys bought Chromey's engine!).

Ray

Terry, did you know about the Round-Ass Beezer Jeremy and Stevecat put me onto? (My cell will be replaced on Wednesday, so I'll be back in touch brother!)

Call Tom at JBP. Do yourself a favour. I've seen 5 now that I actually bid on on Ebay and a couple on various Craigslists, they all end up going for right around or more than I paid Tom for a brand new one! Got it in less than 4 days too! Electrowoman did the same thing.

Save the headaches, comes with EVERYTHING you need, all screws, seals, new bushings, even a little tube of red loctite. Had mine in in about an hour and a half (While drinking beer mind you, which might kinda explain why I lost the bolt from the reverse bucket at speed at Big River!). Other than that, has been FLAWLESS!

Engine Mechanical / Electrical / Re: Ignition protection....?
« on: July 11, 2009, 12:31:32 AM »
Also, just because I read this late and was processing the MOV idea. Varistors I don't beleive are effective at all on DC circuits, unless they have changed since I was in the electronics industry. It would be a good thought, though.

Pulled off a few bumpers in my day that way (And straghtened a few), lol. Digital ignition is the way to go, really. I have a total Mallory system on the Moo, and the Saguaro is getting the same exact thing. pretty painless and trouble free, and NO CHIPS to buy to change the rpm limiter feature! (Dip switches)

But MSD, and some of the off brands would probably be ok too. Really anythings better than points! Theres a reason they haven't been used in cars in 30 years! Definately a worthwhile upgrade. As far as cons? there ain't any other than it ain't cheap and you gotta retune the engine all over again.

I'm running a Unilite Dizzy, Hyfire 6AL box and Pro-coil (Be careful on the Pro-Coil, only certain model numbers are compatable with Unilites and the HyFire unit). Most people on here are either HEI or MSD, which are fine as well.

I wouldn't go that far just yet, Beav. I've only been on this site for 6 months or so and have seen at least 4 sets posted and sell in that time. (Yeah, I bought one of 'em). Patience......and get what you want and the right part...... It's not keeping you out of the water is it? If it is, well then, different story! (Also check Epay once in awhile, dunno how I know this, but there are still deals to be had there if you're looking right and searching the right way, right Jeremy?)

Ray

'sides, methinks I really need an open bow this time. If this things in any decent shape, I'll dump the Beezer I just got!

Good looking throw pillow there Jeremy! Wait til it decides to wake up and chew the house apart (Lord I don't miss THAT part!) Although Moo was pretty good about that mostly, only chewed up my socks and Cin's underwear (At least she TOLD me the dog did it)  :sly:

Nah, I have, a few times now, and 70'ish is where she is. Fine by me, as it is, really, lol, But 80's are not that far off and doable with tuning I think. (Could be on CRACK, but I think it can).

Ray I think your thinking about the last ex...there has been one since...I thought this break up would be easy shit it was only 2 1/2 months...brad has been around a lot for this whole ordeal...unfortunatly brad kinda got put into this which isn't anyones fault but hers...there is a lot of stuff I'm not saying, but soon this thing is going to open up like a sardine can...chick is crazy man...in fact I think she is skitzo...I walk outside in the middle of the night making sure my truck or boat isn't smashed up or some shit...just looking fwd to this weekend with all the buddies and not half to worry about her...

No, actually I'm not Josh. I can read between the lines. I'm not a total idiot! (Close, but wheres the dipstick for that?).

I kinda figured sumpin was up last time we talked.

But I would double check for a Psycho bitch clause in your car and boat insurance anyway JIC! lol.

Words still hold true, regardless,  If she comes by again, turn out the lights, and have Omar on standby with his thumbs. Apparently those things are dangerous.............
