Will do Skip.  Jobs are tough right now but I'll keep my eyes open for one.  Scope out the SeattleTimes newpaper too.  That's the biggest paper around here.

Glad it worked out for you.  I've been impressed with him from the first time I talked to him.  Definately not a cubic $$$ kinda guy if it's not warranted. I'm really looking forward to this.

Of course, new motor means new goodies for my pump so Tommy is gonna get into my wallet too...... ;D

Okay, I'll spill the beans.  Barry Obler of Obnoxious Racing Engines (Obnoxious001 on the boards) have been talking back and forth for a while and I've finally pulled the trigger.

This motor will be very modest by his standards but I'm really looking forward to it.  It'll be based on a Gen 6 502.

He mentioned that he would probably post up the build on RiverDaves like he has some of the his more recent builds.

I'll copy and paste it over here once he starts............Gonna be fun

Congrats on selling the boat.  Moby is a good guy (just don't have no Crown around if you wanna keep it) and Skagens is where we all hang out up here.

Looking forward to seeing what you're gonna get next..........john

are you guys staying dry up there? saw some crazy flooding on the news...

Hi Skip, yah, some of the gang had some minor flooding but knock on wood, doesnt sound too bad.  Between the heavy snow and then the hard rain, we've had our fair share of weather this year already.

Wish we could figure out how to send some water your way.

Thanks for the fuel tip Drifter

Got forced air gas furnace in the shop...... ;D

With that said, havent done much as I've been working on other stuff but did pick up a nice virgin block the other day for the foundation of a new more blower specific motor.

Gotta wait till after we find out how bad we're gonna be beat up in taxes this year before I begin spending any money........ :banghead:

How bout you?  Any progress??

Thanks BJ....Anything above 60 degrees and we're in shorts and teeshirts so temp wise we're good.  It's just the "where" that we're not sure of.

As far as cruisers, we don't have any. Most are either boats like mine or Daytona tunnels (19' and a couple of 21's).  Last thing we want is a bunch of rough water where we can't go out........

Those pics of the roost, palm trees, blue sky and warm water are killing me.........thanks so much

Hey, to help sell some of the NW gang on coming south, some pics would be cool.

You have any favorites you'd be willing to post up so I can show the gang what we'd be seeing???

Thanks guys........john

This is gaining some momentum.  It's about a 1500 mile one way road trip so that's a drag but the thought of boating in October just seems so cool.  I'll definately keep you all in the loop as this gets further along.

Where is the best place to launch, are motels available or is camping the best?

For those running regular gas, are gas stations readily available?

And there is a good chance that 2Sav will have his boat done by Oct 09.

 ;D ;D ;D

It started out as just a kick around discussion and in less than an hour folks are jumping on......  Might be over the top cool if we can pull it off.  The drive SUCKS but iff'n theres some affordable motels/campgrounds/stripclubs where we can crash out that would help.

Love to finally hook up with you guys.  I'll be easy to spot me, I'll be the slowest one of the bunch...... :banghead:

A bunch of the NW gang are starting to kick around a road trip/caravan to the strip for next October.  Iff'n we can pull it off, you guys interested in hooking up???

It's a bitch of a drive from up here but if you guys could share some of your secrets for where to stay/launch, we all would really appreciate it.................john

Damn, that sounds good.  Spent a ton of hours in my truck on outages including missing Christmas Eve with Jan's family and the kids.  Sucked missing it but since we were trying to get the curcuit that my daughter and family lives off of, it was a bit more motivating to get them back in power.

Snow and ice have tapered off now and it supposed to get into the low 40s for a while so I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Sorry for the threadjack...............back on topic

Update on the project please....... ;D........Merry Christmas
