No Problem Jim! Thank YOU!!!

Now to get them to my Casa Grande in Casa Grande, lol! I think we'll work that out. Give 'em to Skip, he can take them to Brads wedding and give them to Terry, I'll be up there the weekend of the 24th and can collect them then (Maybe with the seats too, who knows)

The Crower scoop has no butterflies in it, from what I've learned, unless there were aftermarket scoops for them.

Looks a lot like a Hilborn, but yeah, are magnesium. (We might need Josh at JBP to fire up his machining and fabbing skillz here).

Thanks on the Zoomies! Still looking, they'll turn up. Also can't be that hard to make if we have header plates.

Going to pick up the pistons this afternoon (Took the day off). Guys dumber than I am about them, but he got them for a street engine from his machinist. Gonna go on faith that they are what they say they are (Should be).

Doesnt have to be 8-71, 6-71 will work. I'll see what homeys got today....

Oh I know, just going for an old brand is all. Hampton, Dyers, Mooneyham, would all work too. Love the Cragar idea, just haven't tripped across one yet, and Bowers is prolly from the very early 70's.

there used to be one we went to in phoenix it was near firebird raceway...wanna say it started with a L...it was a cool shop had what we needed in a bind!

Yeah, Loper's. They have more, newer parts at Pep boys than they have there. I mean EMPTY, 4 guys standing around, 2 small gondola racks of hanging stuff about 8 feet long, and piles of crap everywhere with 1/4" of dust on it, about a 1500 sq foot showroom! Some speed shop, lol.

I guess this economy's affecting everyone, lol.

Welcome aboard...just fair warning last newbie that came along with an 18 foot sleek turned jet boating into crack he's addicted...anyway once again welcome

Hey! I resemble that remark!  ;D ;D

I guess your boat disproves my theory that all Sleekcraft Rebels resemble livestock!

Welcome, nice to see what mine prolly used to look like, lol

Ray

Oh, and I have at least one of the upholstered end panels for your seats (beside the engine cover), might have 'em both, don't remember. and they're white too if I can find them.

Trailers / Re: trailer bunks
« on: June 28, 2009, 11:05:39 AM »
Omar's talking about the 2 middle bunks. They're  "spliced" together to make the length of the boat, but should be supported at the splice IMO as yours are, or, as he said, one piece. At the splice, you can see how it's about an inch off the hull, not good.

Never seen a tunnel trailer with more than two bunks either, so I would say unnecessary and remove them. Brads trailer for the Southwind only has 2 bunks as well.  ;).

Exactly. As I approach the ages of these people, what's going on? Is there a movement to lower the average lifespan that may have been implemented many administrations ago as a way of saving Social Security? Maybe in the water? lol.

The No Wake Zone / Re: How do you guys cope?
« on: June 28, 2009, 01:00:04 AM »
All these guys are right, Glenn. You have to take care of yourself, your family, and your sanity first and foremost. I am the KING of fighting battles I shouldn't have for people that work for me. I always won, but sometimes you win the battle and lose the war. That has happened on a couple of occassions.

In these economic times, that is even more paramount! And it goes right up the corporate food chain. There's Noone gonna stick their neck out for nobody at Shearson Lehman, etc. on wall street. Everyone is afraid. This, globally, I beleive, could, and prolly will, be worse than the great depression before it's over. (Sorry for the doom and gloom guys, but I call what I see being direct on the retail front, and that is the first indicator. If nothing gets sold, no need to ship it, store it, manufacture it, or mine materials to even make it, just what I see). Retail ain't bouncing back, it's getting worse, exponentially.

"Coping" on this stuff is easy for me, but I'm quite a bit jaded. This is nothing to me, so I'm the wrong guy to ask. I am probably the most casual observer of it all going down, however. And I can ONLY afford do that because of the tragedy in my life. Best I can do is take advantage as best I can and invest in the future growth that will surely come. Boats are not the only thing I am into, but that's not important here.

You're gonna be ok Glenn. You're doing the right thing and putting your family first, and that's what is important!

Engine Mechanical / Electrical / Re: Carb Question
« on: June 28, 2009, 12:42:28 AM »
Didn't we have almost the exact same thing happen to the laker boat at Big River? After Crewcheif and Nick spent about 2 hours tearing the carb down and cleaning the mud out of it (How'd THAT get in there), ran like Kobe from a Denver motel room!

BTW, welcome, These guys can figure ANYTHING out!
