Thanks Dave for bumping this, kinda. Had it in my lil brain to add to the advice, but forgot.

I too am running a Weiand tunnel, and honestly, the only digital dizzy I'm aware of that'll work and fit is a Unilite. (Not a comp 9000 tho, lol). I just picked up a dual point Mallory unit that will need the conversion put in it, but it'll clear the tunnel. (Speaking of which, I still owe Chromey for that thing, just remembered).

My stuff is all Mallory, not MSD, so maybe I'm ahead of the game?

Yeah, I know Steve. And good point. Terry and I (well More Terry, he's the pro at those things) are werkin on another dealio to try and get RJ to convert to the "Dark" (Hot rod) side, but he LOVED driving that old boat. If I put all my efforts into it, I know I can make it fly (and do it right this time, NEW TANKS), by the time he gets back here. Just don't know if I really want to do that. I wanted the Saguaro to be on the water by September (Even STILL possible even with this), I'm just scared to fukin death of "turnkey" boats!! Go Figure?

As Tom mentioned, Beisemeyers are kinda speshul and unique anyway, I have the money right now that in other economic times would not even make any of this craziness possible! (And I'm not gonna lose money on anything I've done thus far).

Lets see the damage and go from there. If I get it and gotta send the boat to Glenn or Tom to have the hull fixed, so be it. The interior, not a biggie deal to me. I'd rather do it my way anyhow (I also have a set of seats at Skips, but those are really for the Saguaro). The engine, well, I have 3 460's sitting here in various stages of build, though this is set up for Chebbie and prolly will remain a Chebbie.

The shame on my part is not getting to the Hallet Brad gave me if I do this all this year.  It'll get done, just haven't even really decided where I want to go with it. It's going to a friends to start the grinding and recapping it ,correctly this time, next week.

I dunno, but being around Brad's boat, and riding in Omar's boat this last weekend, made me really miss my cruiser. I prolly logged more time in that boat the short time I owned it than the Moo. The Moo is specific, quick, fast, and picky, (And a handful to drive, albeit fun for ME) the cruiser was NOT.

I guess what I'm saying is, Glenn found me a Sleek the guy wants 6k for. Probably a good boat, but I would never trust it, given history. Here we're talking about the SAME boat I lost, that yeah, gonna need to rebuild (Which I would prolly do anyhow) for next to NOTHING!

Sorry for the long rant on my justification on this, but I've been processing this for 2 days now. Not looking forward to the work, but I had to ask myself, would I EVER let my 14 year old son drive a boat that he and I (Or someone I trusted completely) did not build again? My son coulda easily been killed in that fire, as he drove it more than I ever did.

Guy called me back again today and was tied up 'til later so I didn't get to go see it. But gonna run a couple Ideas past you'uns to see what you think. I guess the crack, and he's gonna send pics tonite, runs along the bottom of the V in the middle about 3 feet long.

Also offered it to me for free if I let him take whatever parts off it he wants (JB drive, steering, etc). Not sure I like that idea, but whatever. We discussed me bringing my trailer and just swapping trailers instead of the labour involved in doing the latter and swapping the boat from trailer to trailer.

Interior I guess needs completely redone ( not a real biggie with what talent is available on here, but the seat frames are shot I guess), comes with the top (new), Dunno. Can I get this thing done in time for Blythe? I know I've done it before, but MAN! A lotta work, lol. The 'glass repair has me scared. never done any structural work like that.

Oh The boats a 1972, I guess the first year of the Beisemeyer or the 21 footer (Forgat what he said), and is, yes a 21 footer like the old one. Had a BBC in it, will probably remain that way if I do this, and I know 2Sav or Tom can help me out on that.

Couple this with what Terry's cooking up for me and, Yeah........I've lost my fukin mind!!!!!!

Awwww Can't negotiate with the ex? My daughter (12) would be in heaven watching him, my 14 year old son would keep the peace (and is good with little ones himself, as long as we bring the Xbox 360, lol), and I know Keith will get his float fixed and prolly bring HIS Rebecca (12) too.

Coulda broke the drive coupling or the bolts to the crank too I suppose. My Biesemeyer 'seemed' to do that a couple of times when it was just a rock jamming the reverse bucket about 3/4 closed. Also happened on the Moo on Saturday when the bolt fell outta the reverse bucket cable, wouldn't move, the Jet would open the bucket just enough under throttle to hold it in a neutral position. Thought for sure I'd busted something important! I'd check out your reverse bucket and control lever, etc,  just to be sure.
